Hello, everyone!
It has been a very long time since I've done any sort of writing, and even longer since I've done anything with PonyFall. Even as I write this, I wonder if there is anyone left who really cares what I do with it now.
Well, work and a lack of motivation (among other things) have taken their toll, but I've decided to do something about it. It's no secret that the ending to PonyFall: Australia was rushed. Sure, fictional Doug was finding Equestrians at a very fast rate in the story anyway, but having F.A. and Discord suddenly show up and whisk everyone and everypony away to different worlds was a rather abrupt thing to do.
I've since come to regret that decision.
For me, part of what made PonyFall fun was the fact that it was somewhat based in reality. The places I took the characters to actually exist, most of fictional Doug's possessions are real-life possessions of my own. It gave me a more personal connection to the characters in the story, and I think it showed in the writing. World's Apart seemed like a fun idea at the time, and maybe it could still be, but putting everypony on different worlds kind of defeated the purpose of PonyFall in the first place: a look at how ponies would realistically react on Earth.
So I've come to a decision! Or rather, you will be making a decision for me. To those of you who enjoyed PonyFall and wished there was more to it, I offer you a choice:
A) I continue Worlds Apart, though it may involve a bit of a rewrite. I'm happy to continue the story, so long as there are people who still care about it.
B) I delete the final two chapters of PonyFall: Australia, change it's current status from 'complete' to 'incomplete', and start writing towards a more satisfactory ending, taking over all of the characters and completing the story in my own way, at my own pace. Worlds Apart will become an alternate-reality kind of story that I may end up finishing some day in the future, but the main priority will be to give PonyFall the ending it deserves.
I leave it up to you all! At this point I think we can agree that PonyFall has been dead for a while, but I think bringing it back to life just might spark my motivation to write again. Let me know what you think!

I'd quite like to see you revive this, and I think option B would be the better one.
I would love to see you go with either option, but if I had to chose, I'd go with option B. As you said, the ending was very rushed, and I wouldn't mind seeing some of the others characters stories fleshed out more.

Yeah B seems the way to go, I don't think any of the others are still writing for it so it'd be refreshing seeing a better ending and more content

The original ending was the nuclear option anyways if I'm recalling right, an attempt to divorce the more active writers from the inactive ones. It was blunt, and by intent scrapped anything that was happening so that people could get on with it without waiting for anyone else.
Except then nobody wrote anything else after that.
I don't have any particular attachment to worlds apart, but I'd certainly prefer to have the arc you had going in ponyfall to complete naturally, so that's a vote for option B from me. Mind you, I'd prefer that sequel to Beard you hinted at so, so long ago, but that's not really what you're asking about here.
Definitely gonna go with B. From what I've heard, the ending you were gonna have was gonna be awesome. I wanna see that

This is the Internet. There's someone who hates what you posted with the passion of a thousand burning suns and a handful of people who love your post, and that's just the picture of what you ate for lunch! Even after this long, there are definitely people who are watching and hoping that you will write more.
I would enjoy both option A and option B, but I lean towards option B.
I might B interested in a Better ending for ponyfall. B it now or a year in the future.
