That depends on what actually happened.
Usually, the exaggerated, unlikely or impossible is more fun to read about than what can actually happen IRL.
Well if it's an enjoyable story then yeah. I don't think it's about whether it's real or not, it's the story's worth. Maybe twist a fact or two, make it longer if need be, but yeah reading about an actual event through story-telling methods would be cool!

4047691 Well, sometimes things are best left in the realm of fantasy and fiction. For instance, while I think Incest is Wincest (And the best incest is Twincest), I would not engage in it with my sister (who is a gross, nasty meth addict living on the streets and/or in jail, usually doing it with people old enough to be my dad). However, reading about an older Gleaming Shield introducing her younger Dusk Shine to the naughty world is pretty nice.
That said, different strokes for different blokes.
If it makes it easier to write, then go ahead.
