New AU Tag for MLD: FiM -- AKA This Ain't Canon No More · 12:27am Jun 19th, 2016
So I'm working on my chapter still for My Little Draconequus, and for one scene, I needed to see the clip with the part about Fluttershy getting her cutie mark.
i easily forget tiny details from the show, and many of them can go at odds with what I write. This chapter is definitely one of them. I knew I'd eventually need to slap the AU tag on, but mostly it was because of the episode about Fluttershy's family, since my chapter will not include that at all. It's in this chapter where it's really going to deviate from canon.
But I deviated more than I thought.
These COULD be considered spoilers, I guess, but I wouldn't worry too much. It doesn't give much away. In the episode (the name escapes me), Fluttershy says that it happened during "summer flight camp".
Whoops. I didn't do that. I made it during what we would consider a school year. With multiple years. So. Yeah. That will be a difference.
Second, when she is knocked out of the cloud at the beginning of the race between Rainbow, Hoops, and Dumb-Bell, and the butterflies save her, she says that she 'had never seen such beautiful creatures before', and that butterflies didn't fly as high as her cloud back home.
Second whoops. In my story, this will not be true. Well, for the most part. You'll see.
I'll make a reminder about this in the actual story, but I'm going to just throw this out there just in case. The last thing I need is a reviewer waving a big 'not canon' flag at me and condemning me for it. The AU tag will hopefully protect me from that. XD

Thank you!!! I'm trying REALLY hard to get this thing finished before Friday! I think I can do it, I'm so close...Of course, I don't know when it will be ready for updating, because MIssy, God Bless her, is going to edit it for me so I can make it better. But at least the overall thing will be done. Thank you for your support!!!
Yeah, the AU tag is pretty much a requirement for all fanfics. So, no worries mate!
Happens to the best of us, girl. We can only hope some dimwit doesn't try to whine over broken canon or something, but also, hey, this is fanfiction. Every other fanfic deviates from canon, so meh, what can you do? :3
