Computer Out Of Commission · 5:43am May 25th, 2016
I don't really know how to summarize my frustration. My desktop at home turned over and died. I've isolated it to a hard drive problem. Hooray Comp Sci major.
I don't have the discretionary funds to fix it at the moment, so I've cobbled together some shit to try and fix it tomorrow. Spare harddrives and what not.
This -might- delay the next chapter of Parents, which is nearly done. Thank goodness I shouldn't have lost anything. Nothing truly important anyway. I've switched to using Google Docs awhile ago, so it should still be alive. It doesn't make it any less frustrating.
Details will come as soon as I can supply them.
A live USB? and did you back up that hard drive?

All of my personal stuff and writing is stored via Dropbox. Chances are that if there was a file that wasn't backed up there, I have safe copies somewhere else. I don't think I lost much, it's more inconvenience for the time being.
I'm using a Windows 10 Install usb to test my hard drives and attempt reinstalls.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You're a CS major. Have some self respect. Hiren's has a dozen different hard disk monitoring and analysis tools.
i know you aint asking for hand outs, but wheres your patreon thing?
So long as you don't point the finger at my changelings. They're innocent, I tell ya! Now... who are the little buggers imitating this time?
Gdocs is #based, yeah.
Hope your computer gets better, but make it some chicken soup in the meantime.
Godspeed Flutterpriest!

I appreciate the thought. Seeing this post warms my heart, but I don't have a patreon or intend to make one. I have fun writing, and I don't want to make it feel like a part time job.
Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on? Kappa
