Gravity Falls wasn't cancelled. Or mistreated in any way by Disney. Everything--the scheduling, the ending of the series, ALL OF IT--was at the direction of the series' creator.

Seems everyone is gearing up to binge on 6 seasons worth of pony.
My absolute FAVORITE line from this episode:

It's fun to look back on the past and laugh about it sometimes.
Besides Alex Hirsch wanted to preserve the spark of the show and end it where it is.
