Be still, sad heart! and cease repining; Behind the clouds is the sun still shining.

You probably know how this sort of thing goes. There you are, mowing your grass on a day that can't decide whether to shine or drizzle on you, a few years and counting into your non-writing streak. Whatever thoughts you're having are at the expense of your lawnmower picking a fight with every passing tuffet and losing.

    Stellarum voces

A jolly update for folk who like either fanfic readings or The Motion of the Stars, and a downright rapturous one for folk who like both. My name is R has brought their vocal talent to bear on the story, complete with images and background music to help

    On Brains

A nice breezy dialogue to ease in with:

CARABAS’ COMMON SENSE: So, a hypothetical conservation for you.
CARABAS: Two lines in and we’ve already got fictional discourse nested in the initial fictional discourse. Gosh, I must just love to live dangerously.

'Moonlight Palaver' translated into Russian! · 12:40am Apr 22nd, 2016

Basically, what it says in the title. An excellent group from the Russian-speaking fandom thought that Moonlight Palaver warranted a Russian translation! Check it out here or here!

I'll admit I didn't know what to expect when I typed 'russia' into derpibooru's search engine, but that was daft. Of course there'd be ponified countries.
Also, forgive the tangent, but the major powers really need to get more creative with their flag colour schemes than variations on red, white, and blue. I mean, orange is also nice. So's indigo. Experiment a wee bit, nation-states of the world, go on.

Huge thanks to everyone involved, both for thinking it worthy of a translation and working hard to make one for it, and I apologise for whatever tangled verbiage and tedious wordplay you were obliged to wade through and translate in turn. Absent translation programs, my own hopeless monolingualism regrettably doesn't leave me capable of much more than critically inspecting the page and saying, "Hmm, yes, that is possibly Cyrillic lettering." But I'm hard-pressed to imagine anyone who could be more appreciative than myself, and that's saying a hell of a lot.

Check it out, whether you're Russian-fluent or also wish to check that you can recognise Cyrillic letters when you see them. Cool things by cool people deserve attention, and this definitely warrants it.

It'd be a daft sort of world if we all had sensible tastes in verbiage and wordplay, I suppose. And If that depiction of the Russian pony has your blessing, I'll adopt it wholeheartedly. :rainbowwild:
