    Happy Holidays!

Whatever you're celebrating, and even if you're not celebrating anything, I hope you have a great day today.

Me? I'm going to spend the day either sleeping, or playing Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft Classic; I've got a guild to run now, after all, and I need to devote as much time as I can to keeping it going.

    Stay awesome.

    Hey Ho

First of all, today marks 11 years to the day since I joined Fimfiction. Go me, I guess?

Secondly, I'm still around, though I've been pretty busy as of late.

    Are you at Griffish Isles?

If so, then I hope you're having fun! For those of you who don't know what that is, here's their website.

I'm not at the convention myself, since I couldn't afford it this year, but I did take out an advert in the con book for my horse words. If you're here as a result of said ad, please let me know!

That's all for now, remember to stay awesome!

    In Case You've Missed It

I recently published a new story, the first one I've written for nearly two years. My Muse decided to pay me a visit, meaning I was able to whip this together; here's hoping said Muse sticks around for a while!

How Preorders Will Work · 8:56am Apr 14th, 2016

At the time of posting editing this blog, eleven thirteen pre-orders for a printed copy of Of Horses And Whorses had been placed. To clear up any possible confusion, please allow me to explain how this will work.

I don't talk about anything else in this blog, so you can ignore it if you don't want (or care about) a book. If you do, click 'Read More.'

1) I will stop taking preorders on April 30th.
2) On May 7th, I will send out PMs asking for an email address. If you requested a signed copy, see below for more information.
3) I will send a PayPal invoice to this email. If you you do not have a PayPal account, you can still use a bank account or credit/debit card to pay.
4) Non-UK buyers with a PayPal account are reminded that PayPal will convert to their currency from GBP.
5) Once your invoice is paid, THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS because I will need to have the books printed.
6) Printing and delivery of the books to my house will take a few days, so patience is advised.
7) Once I have the finished products, I will sign them (if necessary; see below for more information) and then pop them into a Jiffy bag.
8) I will send the book to the address specified in your invoice; tell me if you'd like me to send it elsewhere.
9) For American buyers, I will attach a Customs Declaration specifying the book as a gift. This should prevent customs charges — but I am not to be held accountable if US Customs decides to charge them anyway.
10) Delivery to non-UK countries will take approximately 6-12 days. UK buyers, depending on when I send the book out, can expect a next-day delivery.

Regarding the signature, it will say something like this:

To <YOUR FIMFICTION NAME>
Stay Awesome!
- Geo

If you would like it to say something else, please mention as such when I PM you for an email address.

It goes without saying that I will keep all personal details private, in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

And finally... how would you feel if I was to increase the price of the book from £8.25 to £10? If there is a lot of opposition, I won't — but the profit I make from these will be going towards BronyScot, so I'd like to earn as much as I can.

Thanks for your time; I'm going to go now, or I'll miss my bus for work.

Stay awesome.

Not that I'm an expert or anything, but... is that even legal? I mean selling them for profit, as it were, even if you donate it. Selling them to people at cost would be one thing, but this sounds like the kind of thing you could actually get in trouble for. This isn't exactly an original work; the characters are copyrighted and/or trademarked and I don't think you could spin this as Fair Use for parody purposes. I don't know how this works for fanfics, but in the video game modding community, I've actually seen people get sued for trying stuff like that.

I mean, it's your own decision, but I'd still advise checking up on the legal status of that kind of thing. Just to be safe.

I did not think you would throw this to gather this fast dang.
I just don't have the cash right now and it Is going to be a while till I have it at hand as I get most of my side cash during the summer.
so I have to say no as of this time sorry.
I am paying for the TeamSpeak out of pocket so I have to watch my money as I am paying extra for storage and back up so different authors can keep chapter back up's there.

Sounds great.

Now I gotta come up with a Shakespeare Level signature.
There's not a note of mine that's worth the noting. To Rainwell, Geo
Or something like that.

I'm fine with the increase. BronyScot? Pony rocking a bagpipe? Vikings theme? Hell yea, nothing beats the northern music.

Sounds like infringement unless you check with Hasbro. And they wouldn't want that, as the story is far more adult than MLP itself.
So it could also be constructed as devaluing a trademark.

If the likes of Pen Stroke and Kkat can get away with it, then I should be fine. It would be a dick move on Hasbro's part to take action against me for doing what will just be the one print run (yes, just one), when those two have - as far as I know - done several. (Feel free to correct me on this.)

Hey, the price is the price, I'm good with it

Frankly, that's an Et Toi Falacy.
