This has to be at least the third time now; I'm writing a bunch of stories and in some cases, it's the sequels I'm particularly interested in. I won't spoil for which ones, but it seems to happen a lot. Maybe it's just something about revisiting interpretations of characters that have already been through a conflict in the first story, as all the cases I can think of are generally due to be more relaxed than their respective prequels. Like, the first story is where all the things are established and the big problem is dealt with, so there's more room for just having a ball in the second one. Sorta. Three or four of those, I have now. It's nuts!
One of those cases is for a new trilogy I came up with centered around the sirens. (Idon'thaveaproblemshutup!) Subtle hint for part 1 here.
It's not actually a subtle hint.
Strangely, I think it's actually the first story in that short series that's due to be more fun than the sequel, but part 2 will be something I'm really interested in trying. That's all I can say for now. I go!

It's going to be a bit of a weird trilogy, but I'll spoil right now that none of the really strange things that happen, in all three stories, will get the 'All Just A Dream' treatment. Well, not the ones that drive the plot, at least. I'll try to leave dream sequences out entirely, for that very reason.
Fine. I came to you 'cause of Blueblood, but I'll read some of your Siren-only stories. But only because they seem interesting and I know you write some charming characters.

Sincerely sorry, I never meant to abandon Best Prince (though his only competition is Shining Idiot and that Yak fellow), but these three are worryingly-... Well, like a siren's song to me, I guess.
I made a blog post on that very subject a while back, as it happens.
Anyway, I'm far from done with Blueblood, just not writing him as often as I used to. The hope is that I'll pick up with at least one of those stories when Sucker For a Cute Face is done, as well as... something I'm awaiting approval for.
EDIT: Oh, though I do hope you can at least get some amusement out of the siren fics!

Let's not start debating which prince is Best Prince, now. I actually quite like Shining, even if BB is still my favorite to read about.
And I'm pretty sure I hope that BB never shows up in canon again. I'd rather keep him as open as possible for fanfiction. Whereas I'd like to see Shining have more characterization in the show.

I don't hate Shining, but he seems about as competent as your average Wonderbolt. Then again, with what little we've seen of canon Blueblood, it's possible Shining is an optimistic outcome.

Yeah... I see what you mean, but... I get sorta offended on his behalf, because the Wonderbolts are still portrayed by most as pretty darn competent and important, just not Elements Of Harmony level heroic. Shining doesn't quite get that as often, and the portrayal of him as "Shining Idiot" is more common than of the Wonderbolts as secretly useless.
