Now that I've gotten this week's chapter of Altered Visage out of the way, how about I make the next chapter of John 'Honeycrisp' Apple public too? Spoilers and discussion after the break.
Here we go with the next chapter of the story of Honeycrisp Apple. It's the middle of the night, you get to see Big Mac in a drunken stupor apologizing to him. What in the world is he apologizing for? Alas, he's too drunk to get a coherent message across. Oh well, it's probably nothing.
The big thing we get to see this chapter is some interaction between Honeycrisp and Granny Smith, and more specifically she tells him the tale of how Rosewood Apple died. She died protecting Big Mac from a chimera as they were traveling to some distant town to sell their apple products. Yes, being eaten by a chimera as she tried to get their product to some distant town is basically what nearly happened to Apple Bloom in a season 4 episode. This is completely intentional on my part, as it is meant to give a little more context and explanation for why Applejack would be so overprotective in that episode...somewhat. I admit most of the overprotectiveness had nothing to do with that journey, so it's not that good as a way to explain her actions then, but I still think it's a decent connection to make regardless.
Aside from that, I don't have all that much to say about this chapter. Hope you guys enjoy.
