Stuff about what's up in my life right now below, but first, loopsorspool has written a short Ember story, Charcoal, which definitely fits the general theme of Ember and her attempts to help ponies with their problems.
If you're looking for more fully "canon" Ember stuff from me, I have a stack of ideas, and two stories started but not finished. Sadly (well, for all of you, anyway) I'm probably not going to have much time to write for a couple of months yet to come. If you didn't catch my announcement way back when, I'm about to have a new baby in the house, and that is going to eat pretty much all my free time for a while. I'm pretty pleased, but my work, my writing, and all my other hobbies are going to suffer for a bit.
And I make no guarantees about exactly when I'll have time or inspiration to write again. Even when the baby starts getting a bit older, I'll have a ton of paying work to catch up on that's going to eat a lot of time and energy. Writing is one of the few things I've kept strictly has a hobby, to do only for fun, so I only write when I feel like it. I know that's disappointing to a lot of people, but I really don't want to turn this into just another stressful job.
Anyhow, fan Ember stories, like Charcoal, are always welcome, if any of you want to help fill the gap while I'm out of commission. And thanks again to loopsorspool for coming to play in my world, I really enjoy seeing other people's takes on my ideas.

I'm just glad to hear that Ember's is still on your mind. It's one of my favorite stories on this entire site.
