Chapter 117 update! (And some plans going forward) · 6:58pm Jan 28th, 2016
Hey there everyone! 
Just wanted to give an update on progress.
Chapter 117 is proving to be quite long. It's currently sitting at 14000 words and i still have two major scenes to write. Wouldn't be surprised if it tips to 20k.
Also.... and per usual i may be horribly wrong about this 
... but once this whole sequence is concluded, i believe it will effectively mark the 3/4's point of part 3 (so around chapter 119.) My guess is that chapter 120 will be the start of the final 'climb' of part 3 with three major events planned that im going to assume (for the moment) will have part three end somewhere around chapter 135-140...
And thats where the final arc of the story will begin. Hard to believe we're almost in the final part... but hey, you know what? lets look at how many chapters have been in each part...
Part 1: 27 chapters
part 2: 43 chapters
part 3: if it ends at chapter 140... that will be 70 chapters.
so i'm not sure if this trend will continue... but if it does part 4 could easily be 70+ 
but... 
In the end it will depend on how much space my outlined ideas take, obviously part 3's ideas took up lots more space than part 2's even though the outlines for parts 2 and 3 were more or less the same length. probably due to part 3 being combat heavy.
part 1: Focus on introducing and developing characters
part 2: focus on romance, feelings, and experiences
part 3: The thick of the conflict arrives and combat is strewn all over
part 4: ...? I guess you'll have to wait and find out
anyway... regarding chapter 117 again, since it's longer, i wouldn't be surprised if it's pushed till next week. I'm not saying that it will be, it depends on how much of it i get done tonight (since i do NOTHING productive on friday nights) and how much im able to do saturday morning if need be.
Just wanted to give a heads up on how things are going and give some insight into where i see things going from here

hum I am liking the lay out of the story but I think part 3 has a good deal of romance in it also.
so when will dash and spits and fleet be braking the news to every one??

A story plan that was honestly... not well thought out in terms of length
WELP, it's been fun so im not complaining at all. But if anything it will probably be the 4th longest, because the three longest: "The Chase" "Diaries of a Madman" and "MLPTimeLoops" are ongoing/episodic. Piercing the Heavens DOES have a planned out ending, so if anything it will be the longest 'start-to-finish' story
Don't worry guys. The Black dragon is only going to destroy the world and that will be the end of Equestria as we know it.

I do hope the trend continues. Cause this story is awesome and I never want it to end!!! But every good story has an ending. . . so better enjoy it while we can!

3719317 That too takes practice. I actually started by writing letters to friends. Telling them about my day. I'd pick a situation, then play it out part by part. So, say my brother; Zap, He and his gang of tusty boys get together and clear the weeds from the garden. Or... Mom decides to do a project.

Then I practiced by writing down what happened, playing it up for the readers enjoyment. That way, I learned how to tell a story in a logical manner, and was able to center my thoughts.
I mean, that trend makes the next part be just below twice as long as the previous one, part 4 could easily be 120 chapters long if it continues... which is gonna be pretty much half of the story. That actually sounds ridiculous, but if you really think that you could stretch part 4 up to 70 chapters, it really can end up a half of the story

I can only wait, and hype over everything you say. Therefore I will eagerly be awaiting the next chapter as I have for all the others, but this one is big. We could get some more info for many theories in this, especially if Moon is somehow exposed. I can't wait!!
