Here are five slightly edited old reviews:
Outside the Reaching Sky by Karazor
Fly Away by ZAquanimus
Abracadaver by Obselescence
Reconstruction by Befallen Tragedy
The Adventures of Sweetie_Belle.jpg by Dash The Stampede
Keep in mind that my reviews are a little more personal bias than most you might read. These are not meant for either writing advice or reader recommendation, though I do try to keep both in mind when writing these up. Each of my reviews are written right after finishing the story and are meant for my personal use as I try to figure out why I liked (or didn't like) the story. Trying to understand the 'why' of whatever reaction I had to the story.

This gets added to my list of favorite ponyfics. Which is different from my favorites bookshelf, oddly enough. I’ll have to reorganize all of those later. Not a incredible work of writing, but hits all sorts of good buttons in my head. It is almost exactly the kind of space adventure and/or space opera type of science fiction I really enjoy. Right up there with my favorite military scifi authors. I was sad when I realized I was most of the way through the story and when it finished I really wanted there to be more. When it’s done right, I absolutely love scifi ponies. This was a story where it’s done really well. Highly recommended.
I've read this at least once (maybe twice?) since this first time. Enjoyed it just as much the second time through, even though I knew everything that happens. Still wish there was more of this sort of thing. Scifi ponies is probably my favorite sub-genre of pony fan fiction. This is one of the good examples of showing how the mane six might change and grow over time.

A somewhat scattered story. If this was about 4 times as long and more focused, it could have been really good. Needed about twice it’s length as a lead-up and another length at the end for reactions and follow-up. It’s just kind of unfocused and makes a lot of assumptions without really supporting them. I really liked the first part of the story that was Scootaloo’s morning, but when a Wonderbolts tryout got shoved in I lost interest.

Heehee. Silly absurd concept that had me giggling pretty much constantly. Plus the end was great. Not exactly a twist, but awesome anyway. Funny how easy I accepted this version of dark magic loving Twilight Sparkle. She’s not evil, just likes experiments and studying all kinds of magic. Highly recommended if you like absurd comedy.
Reconstruction by Befallen Tragedy

A decent, if somewhat generic look at how the Nightmare Moon rebellion might have ended. Average quality, maybe a little under average if you’ve been lucky enough to read mostly good fanfics. If it had more content it would have been much better. It implies a longer story that could have been interesting.

Oh man, I loved this one. The best writing? Nah. But I’m a huge sucker for computer jokes and this is pretty much pure computer joke goodness. I ended up reading this out loud to my mom as our driving around entertainment and it loses something in audio form, but I certainly enjoyed it. Nearly had to stop and wait for my laughing to die down when I got to ‘trying to earn their shortcuts’.

If you know of a text-format reviewer I'm not keeping track of, please let me know and I'll see if they meet the criteria to be assimilated into the list.
If you are an author who wants a more detailed review of a story I've covered feel free to message me. My reviews tend to be fairly light, mostly just reactions to a story right after reading it. I am happy to give a more careful read and reply to anyone who wants more precision and/or feedback.
