Just your typical mediocre writer trying to make up for his lack of skill at the craft by producing shlocky unoriginal fanfiction!

    And so the return begins

Welp, now that I've finished re-reading through The Next in Line in it's entirety (boy was that a painful experience) and finished planning out generally what I want to do for the next few chapters, I've finally sat down and gotten to work. So far things seem to be running smoothly. I've no real idea just how long this chapter is going to turn out to be, I'm around 600 words in so far according

    Don't call it a comeback

Hey everyone, long time no see. I don't expect many of my old readers to still be around at this point, nor do I expect them to really believe what I'm about to say in here, and for all intents and purposes you have no reason to. After all, my endless promises to get back to work on the story/stories (for the rare few of you who gave a shit about Blood and Betrayal), fell flat on their faces

Alrighty, shooting for a small update this Monday/Tuesday 2-3K words or so

That's right, finally finished my job this Thursday, a little later than I expected, but eh, whatever. Now that it's done, I'm shifting my focus back onto TNiL, and hope to have an update ready for upload by Monday, Tuesday at the latest. It'll probably be done before then, but I'm hoping to get my proofreader to take a look at it in an attempt to try and brush up the overall quality of it a

Still alive, gonna start writing again soon

Hey everyone, just popping in to let you know that I'm still alive. Unfortunately, my job has taken up a lot of my time, but I come bearing good news. This week should be my last week there, and then it's nothing but free time for me for the rest of summer. And I figured I'd celebrate this wondrous occassion by dedicating an entire day to nothing but writing, most prominently TNiL. With any

Don't call it a comeback · 12:04am Jan 19th, 2016

Hey everyone, long time no see. I don't expect many of my old readers to still be around at this point, nor do I expect them to really believe what I'm about to say in here, and for all intents and purposes you have no reason to. After all, my endless promises to get back to work on the story/stories (for the rare few of you who gave a shit about Blood and Betrayal), fell flat on their faces years ago and why would anything be any different now?

Well, suffice it to say that a lot has happened in my life since all of that. I'd eventually grow to lose interest in MLP, in the fanbase, and ultimately just considered my time better serviced doing something else with my burgeoning talent.

Boy doesn't that shit sound pretentious?

Still, it lead me to so many things and I met a lot of people I still consider my friends to this day. Even if a lot of them have since fallen off the face of the earth. I learned a lot from writing The Next in Line, met a lot of people who are way better at the craft than I am, and got to be part of projects that ultimately didn't go anywhere but provided me with a lot of valuable experience.

Moving on, though. I won't bore any of you with the details, but suffice it to say that I've been looking back on those years with a hint of fondness. The sense of community, the actual readerbase, it was all quite fun. And The Next in Line was really the first work of fiction I actually put my all into, before the interest fizzled out and I just stopped caring altogether.

I've realized over all this time that in order to REALLY move on, I've got to finish what I started. Namely the fic that lead to so many wonderful things and experiences in my life.

So yes, I'm back, for now at least. For really real real this time. I'm not quitting, I'm not going anywhere, the fic WILL get updated though I can't promise any sort of frequency. I'm committing to finishing this goddamn thing even if it kills me and I hate doing it.

Who knows? Maybe if I find that spark I'll continue writing for MLP again.

So, here's the deal. If you wanted to ask me questions or review my fic or just plain wanted to get in touch with me now would be the time to do it. I'm going to be on frequently and promise to read and respond (if I can) to every single thing you want to know save for how the fic is going to end. Hit me up with your stuff if you're still interested. I don't expect much, especially since I've been gone for so long and so many people have up and left the fandom altogether. But hey, the offer's there if you want to take it.

For now...

July 1st, 2014, wow it's been awhile since you updated. I still have this story in my favorites, but hardly remember what it was about anymore. :twilightblush:

Time buries things, still, I'll be surprised, and happy to re-read the whole thing should a new chapter of it come out at some point.

Much like most of the stories I believe to have been abandoned. ^-^;;

Good to see you, mang.

Yay, another back-from-the-dead-fic! :pinkiehappy:

Figure it's better than letting it rot. Time to revive this mofo with mad science and finish it off for good.

3696402
You too Narl, glad to be back.

3696393
Glad you're still willing to give it a shot. Like I said, a new chapter will come out. I'm going to be pretty busy the next week or two but I pretty much am committed to finishing this damn thing once and for all. In all actuality I hit the brakes pretty damn close to the finish line, so it won't be too terribly difficult to hammer out the last chunk of story.

I'm happy to see you're determined. I'll let Pinkie say how interested I remain...

Formerly DeadlyArbitrero here, still waiting patiently for ya! :raritywink:

Won't call it a comeback, but I sure as hell am gonna welcome you back!

3696598
Glad to hear that you're willing to give 'er a read. I'll try not to disappoint.

3696828
Ayy glad to be back and be welcomed back by a familiar face.

3696851 After all this time I'll have to re-read but I can't wait for more.

I look forward to it!

Holy crap, welcome back!

3696901
Heh, you and me both. I'm giving the whole thing a good once over to make sure I don't forget anything.

3697039
Hey Gears! Glad to hear it, your stories were pretty much the inspiration for it so I'm glad to see you're still interested in reading what I've got comin' out.

3697254
Thanks.

I'm very glad to see you've returned. I've really missed seeing updates to The Next In Line, and I am looking forward to seeing them resume again, no matter how sporadic the schedule of posting.

Your story is one of the few that I keep in my Nook reader, and read over time and again. I'm really excited to see it continue.

Glad to hear you like the story so much. Like I said, I'm committed to getting something out with some sort of relevant frequency. But looking back and seeing how often I've promised 'soon' or 'this week' and never delivered I figure keeping the release date for the story's eventual revival vague the best option.
