So, if you haven't noticed, the sequel to God Empress of Ponykind, The Empress Returns, was published yesterday afternoon. Off to a good start, all things consider, but FIMFiction's bizarre queuing system meant that it has gone a bit unnoticed.
Some come and see, She has returned. She has brought her power and seeks to end the oppression of the enemies of Mankind, and all who are caught unaware will be swept away in the tide of war.

I've read The God Empress of Ponykind and most of The Warmistress of Equestria awhile ago, but one thing that intimidated me from reading this story is the unknown canonicity between Warmistress and The Empress Returns. If you could shed some light on that it would be appreciated.
4910194 Admittedly, that's something I've been trying to work out as well. There are some aspects of Warmistress that I want to bring in to Empress Returns (mainly Luna's relationship with the deer and the deer's relationship with the Eldar, but when I try to work it out or write more for Warmistress it ends up falling flat.
Just assume what I did get out for Warmistress is canon with Empress Returns unless stated otherwise.
