Self bans, why? I mean what is the point of it?

3693779 Ummm, I've seen people on here threaten suicide and then self ban. They usually reappear 3 or so days later perfectly fine if not hurt in some way.

I dunno. Sometimes people need a break. To much of a good thing and all that. And to prevent them from spending an unhealthy amount of time on Fimfic they could self ban. I'm sure that there's other reasons to it but this came to mind

3693837 Do they just do this to get some much needed attention from others from their own loneliness in the real world? I can't say that I wouldn't understand that to a certain, but crying out like that doesn't get more attention than the reading of a sentence, if that's all they want.

Because some people can't control staying off Fimfiction willingly. So they ask to self ban themselves, the only way to stop themselves.
