    Hey guys! What's new?

So, I haven't been here in a good long while. I got the writing itch a while back, specifically for ponies and my old Betaverse fics. I might have something in the pipeline. I've got a few questions I'd like to ask the general pony-reading audience if you don't mind. Just so I can see if my writing style should be tweaked a bit for the modern audience.

    Stardrop's Lackluster Ending

Hello everyone. I know I've been away for a while, but that's due to me deciding to finish stories before I post them to revise, edit, and alter them to give you all better stories to read. I don't feel free to do so when I post stories live. This results in me getting frustrated with how a story is shaping up and then dropping it. That wasn't a problem when I was younger, but it's become one as

Anyone know artists who do illistrations for stories?

I'm low key working on a story which I intend to complete before posting. I'm enjoying being able to go back and improve, tweak, and change things to make the best possible version of the story, and it's nice to not feel like I am bound to a strict schedule of uploads.

A metatextual analisis of "The Bureau: XCOM Declassified" to show how it fits in the series timelines

A lot of people like the rebooted XCOM series, and a lot of people also insist its lore is bad/nonexistent. This isn't true in my opinion, but is the product of the game that sets up the world for the series having been released a year after the first game in the series as a prequel, and also it sucks ass to play. The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is not a good game. At all. The story is really good,

Alright guys! The Epilogue is posted, The Queen is Dead is Finished. The continuation to the story will be live as soon as possible!

You can find it here at the moment. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/310848/all-hail-the-queen

I've done some experiments and it seems you guys can track, fave, and like stories before they are submitted, so go ahead and do that now. I'll post another alert once everything is truly live.

I'd comment on it, but there is nothing to read save for the description, and no way to comment.

5/5 Long Description, would read again. Favved and followed.

3685035 Yeah, I'm frankly surprised I can share ANYTHING about it before It's submitted at all. Even more so that the tracking and faving works.

3685036 I thought people weren't allowed to do that. Like site rules or something.

3685074 If it weren't permitted, this is the sort of thing you could just program the site to not allow at all. The fact that I can share a story presubmission (not any chapters, just the description page) and that it can be tracked and all that, means the web developers at some point decided to make pre-submitted stories visible to users otehr than mods and the user who made them.

Also I recall nothing about this in the rules.

3685076 There is a certain set of rules that aren't visible in the FAQ.

3685078 Yeah. I read them. I recall nothing about this situation in them. Trust me if this wasn't a thing you could do, you just wouldn't be able to do it at all. I could program the bit that would prevent you from seeing a story's page presubmission myself. There's nothing against it in the rues...There is no code restriction, so it's apparently okay to do this sort of thing.

3685080 http://www.fimfiction.net/blog/577111/unofficial-sites-rules-that-can-get-you-banned There are holes in the programming. Like e.g. If you publish a chapter despite your story not being submitted... when you actually publish the story and start publishing the chapters day/day you won't be shown in the updates section. http://www.fimfiction.net/blog/585249/writing-blog-important-update I dun goofd.

3685082 The text you have in your comment dose not appear in those rules. Nor any wording or language to the same effect.

If mods object to this, they will do so upon submission, and I accept that. However nothing indicates I am not allowed to share the URL of a story as I am now, and indeed the site enables me to do so when it would be trivial to prevent such a thing.

The official rules state:

Sharing access to unpublished stories or chapters is only allowed for the purpose of help with editing or other stages of the writing process.
You may not sell access to unpublished stories or chapters.

However they also make it clear in this context that they mean the content of the story, the chapters, and not merely the root page you access the chapters from.

3685088 No it doesn't. I just wanted you to know where I got it from that there were rules that the FAQ didn't show. As for the latter link it was something I goofd at.

3685090 I appreciate the concern, but I assure you, I'm in the clear here. and even if I'm not, no mod would ban me for it. I'd at worst get an explanation that I'm not supposed to do it. Then I wouldn't do it again after being informed I'm not supposed to. But trust me, no rule says I cant share the URL pre-submission so my fans know immanently when a sequel is accessible.

3685091 It's cool.

I kinda feel sad that I don't have time to comment and read your stories.

t_t

Tracked, but not liked quite yet. I have a personal policy of not giving a thumbs up or down until I've read at least one chapter of a story.

ever since "across the sea of time" I've been liking and faving first:yay:

3685472 It's amazing that people love event he silly things i jsut sort of made up as I went along by going 'what would be cool yet hilarious?"

3685484 hey, that means you have a good sense of humor

3685535 Only if you like wierdly funny yet cynical jokes based in obscure science or pervyness.

3685539 what about obscure perviness?:trollestia:

3685546 That's less a joke and me seeing if anyone even knows what I'm talking about.

3685560 if it's the obscure science then I'll probably be mostly lost:scootangel:

3685573 Wel that's fine, becuase I don't know much obscure science XD

3685575 but obscure is different for you than it is me:pinkiegasp:
