Oddly? You're right to be proud! growing as any type of artist is a great thing. A lot of people look at art and don't realize just how hard it is to make something great until they actually try it for themselves. Writing is an especially hard form of art, being as you can't just put down what you're visualizing. Visual and verbal art take a lot of work, but verbal art has so many freaking rules to it.... And to properly describe something while following those rules is just a nightmare. I'v scrapped so may ideas..... Well, you're doing great and i'm glad to read your work.

I understand how you feel. I occasionally look at my notes for rpg campaigns years ago and shudder at the thin stories and overly hamhanded plothooks.

I think you nailed it there. Writing is an art that you just got to keep working on to get better at. It's nice to realize that you're getting to that point. And you? You just gotta keep working on getting better. Don't give up!
