New face + dramatic reading + updates · 8:06pm Jan 10th, 2016
Don't panic at the sudden human appearing in your feed: I'm the same blue coffee pony as always, I'm just rocking a new avatar for the new year, courtesy of the inimitable Bluegrass Brooke.
But I digress: If you haven't seen it already, I'm excited to announce that Dr. Wolf has released a dramatic reading of The Counselor! I've been looking forward to seeing, hearing, and sharing this for a long time, as he first contacted me about this right after The Counselor was released. IMO it's worth the listen. Dr. Wolf's got a great voice, and he really brings what's otherwise a very dialogue-heavy story to life!
Now how about some story updates!
It looks like my January story will be an expanded version of a piece from the last Writeoff. It's short, melancholy, and focuses on some of Coloratura's supporting cast. Brooke was kind enough to offer some suggestions on the initial draft, and I might hit-up some other folks for subsequent drafts as well.
I'm also skipping the current Writeoff, as it focuses on original (non-MLP) fiction, and the Writeoffs are starting to happen in such rapid succession that participating in all of them would be more like work than fun... 
Chapter 3 of Dark Rarity is... still frozen, as it has been since my push to get the previous chapter out by Christmas. 
But I still wanna get that polished-up and released this month, if at all possible.
And last but certainly not least, I'm just about finished with an initial round of pre-reading for an MLP/40K crossover by my buddy (and frequent co-conspirator) Moosetasm. I don't know when chapters will start releasing, but I'll be excited to see them whenever they do!
