Yo.
New year, bitches. That means new ideas and junk. I'll be continuing BwBb and Twisted Product as soon as I can get a solid answer on a question that's been eating me up for a while. Ready? Sweet.
How would you–my readers–feel about a series of cosmic horror stories loosely connected to BwBb? I mean, like, loosely connected. I have three already plotted out, and only one of them is rather long. I've been doing research into police reports, the occult, and unexplained phenomena recorded in deep space, and I've come back with some fun ideas.
Here's what I'm bringing to the table:
'Eyes for Staring, Teeth for Tearing, Flesh for Wearing'
Starry Night, a brilliant magical researcher, claims powers not meant for him.
A mystery with thriller elements tossed in, or vise-versa. The format is of a private investigator's notes and recorded musings as he searches for clues to Starry Night's strange and unexpected disappearance. Rated 'Mature' for gore, language, and some obscene sexual deviance.
NEXT!
'Tender Treaty: Sorcerer of Poero Thah Mün' (WIP title)
A world-hopping being experienced in Eldritch magic finds that his luck has run out when agents of an enraged Great Old One corner him.
This one is more of a body-horror action-adventure featuring a human from a world where Outer Magic is being taught regularly. A lot of my personal lore would come packed with this, and could possibly bring about spoilers for both 'Eyes' and 'BwBb'. The human takes pony form and abandons a great amount of power to escape to Equestria, inciting many events across several of my stories. LOTS of multiversal, existential theories and universe-building. Long one.
ORDER UP!
'Mayday'
On a routine shipping venture, the Equestrian ship 'Golden Spear' receives a broadcast from another ship in distress.
A one-shot with everyone's favorite dapper stallion, Fancy Pants, encountering an evil aboard another ship. Takes place on the waters between Griffon territory and Equestria. Mostly psychological horror fueled by my own intense fear of extremely deep, dark water and the reaches of space where no light shines. Spooky.
I know that introducing new stories in between writing other chapters for stories I already have up is bad form. It slows down progress on things I've already put out and haven't completed, and for that I'm sorry. I've been getting pretty interested in the unknown and occult, especially things to do with astrology and deep space, though I need to study more on star-charting and such. With a new semester of college coming up, I've got writing classes, astronomy courses, and half a pack of cigarettes to smoke.
Lemme know what you think. Contact me in any way, comments or PM or whatever. Peace.
