[FMP] Delays and Obligations Come Again! · 10:09am Jan 7th, 2016
H-hey, folks. How was your bookend to 2015? Set many field of grass on fire? Play any scary fan-games? Read that new Stephen King novel?
O-oh, uhm...oh. You've all been...waiting for me to...work on Fullmetal...haven't you?
Please don't send Risu's ghost on me! I have reasons!
I do! Any of you remember my- oh, who am I kidding, all of my old crowd doesn't bother with me so none of you new faces know about my past life. All right, sit tight, grab a bite, it's time to enlight.
For those uninitiated masses, I'm a site admin to a small corner of the Internation known as punk-o-matic. We're a small, tight-knit community of misfits who all enjoy a music flash game of the same name (albeit with a "2" on the end). And because we always know what everyone is doing at all hours of the day and night, we hold annual awards for the members. And ever since we first started this tradition, I've worked with my long-time friend Kyoufuu Razorwind to announce the results in our particular, patented* brand of pinsanity.
This year is no different. The awards have been tallied, results compiled, and now the site is in a state of excitement as Kyou and I are tasked with making yet another thirty-plus-minute podcast. We've only just begun to work out who will tackle what task - audio manipulation and (any) video effects. This takes time, and will demand much of me in the coming two weeks.
I mean, yeah, Fallout has been a big distraction for me, but this is an obligation to my family-away-from-family-but-not-family. Traditions must be upheld!
You guys already kno- wait, whoops, there I go again. You guys will learn that making a podcast sound good, and doing voice-acting in general, is a fun hobby I enjoy having. Whether or not I elect to get the audio files, I can expect a good chunk of time will be spent making sure things sound as good as possible. I've been screwed on podcasting before (it was an accident and the other guy (not Kyoufuu he's cool) felt super embarrassed afterward), so I want to do my part for my site and the friends I've made there. Even if I've effectively neglected that piece of the 'Net for all of last year.
Still, this blog is tagged with Fullmetal Pony in mind, so you all deserve to know where it stands...
•Chapter 2.1 has begun its first draft, and Twibest and I have already shot several neat ideas at each other.
•The chapter is estimated to have only two segments, following Shining Armor immediately after the events of chapter one.
•The story-to-date has been submitted to EQD, but was sent back with minor concerns. Some negligible edits will be made to earlier chapters to help clarify details that the blog pre-readers asked about. These edits have not yet been made, and in fact will not be approached until after chapter two is finished.
•All three of my beta pre-readers have been non-responsive for a long time, so new readers for second drafts will be needed as work resumes. If you are interested in becoming a pre-reader for the project, be on the lookout for more information. The alpha-stage readers (those being TwiBest and Spirit Seer) are unchanged.
So...y'eh, that's about all I needed to say. It's four in the morning and I need to stay awake long enough for the tax office to open, so I'm gonna go script out this sodding thing in order to give the illusion of productivity.
↑This is not relevant to the blog. It's just here because it's cool.↑
