Happy Holiday of your Choosing · 3:15am Dec 25th, 2015
While I'm not usually one for political correctness (I honestly find it incredibly aggravating), this is the the one time of year I don't mind it.
I really wish I'd had something ready for you guys for this time of year, and I originally had planned for the next chapter of Necromantic to be up by now, but that fell through when one of my editors pointed out that the chapter was... more or less entirely pointless. Again, I apologize for the delay, but there's nothing to be done for it really.
Have this pic I got several months ago, but forgot to make any sort of announcement about. It's not much, but it's something.

Fun fact regarding that spell in the Necroverse.
While most religious magic is drawn from a pony's particular beliefs (ie, someone who worships Celestia can't use a Discordian spell and vice-versa), Smite <Insert Alignment> actually draws power directly from a deity. Meaning that, if the deity in question doesn't find you to be in violation of whatever criteria they use to determine their morality, then the spell has little to no effect on you.
In this case, it might disrupt the spell animating the arms there, but Lyra wouldn't be hurt beyond a minor headache. Conversely, one idea I've toyed with for a future story involves either a priest or cleric of Celestia trying to Smite a dark creature at close range... only he's become so wrapped up in his prejudices, obsessions, and (potentially) lusts that, in Celestia's eyes he's become the evil one and gets hit instead.
