Simultaneously able to type 94 wpm and still take five years to finish a story. If you're feeling generous, throw a ko-fi at me.

    On Kubuntu

Many years ago, my grandma's Facebook machine computer died. Being always a little interested in computers, I asked if I could have it to play with it to try and upgrade it, and she agreed.

    So I'm ok...

-but I was in a car accident this evening.

I wasn't at fault, but my car is totaled, so that's going to throw a wrench into things logistically. At least it's almost summer, so no school trips for a bit.

I was wearing my seat belt, so the only thing hurt is my hands. That I use to type. And work.

Kinda wanted to get that old blog off the page, because I’m in a little better place now.

    Little Update

I think the mark of a good piece of media is one that hits differently depending on when you consume it. Like how when you watch A Goofy Movie and as a kid you sympathize with Max and then when you watch it older you see more of Goofy's perspective. Or like how when you watch Shrek 2 as an adult it's still funny, but different parts are funny for different reasons (the union part, for example).

Do You Fear Change? · 6:16pm Dec 5th, 2015

In April 2013, the original X Becomes A Changeling group (long-since deleted and reborn here) ran a contest. I decided to write a story for it. It was only supposed to be simple one-shot about 5k words, about Twilight Sparkle becoming a changeling queen, based loosely on the concept that "there must always be a queen" (I think I'd recently watched Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End).

It has since ballooned up into 42k words, and a substantial amount of that is more sketched out than fleshed out. But I've finished book one (aside from simple editing), and that's close enough to "finished" for me to publish it without breaking the oath I have taken.

So brace yourselves; the changelings are coming.
