Hey guys, I'll just get right down to business this time. I'm working on a new story and I wrote out a few chapters already. I'm telling you this because I don't really know how to feel about this story. I like what I have, but there are certain variables that are hindering my progress on it. The story features Gaara from Naruto and takes a different turn than most HiE. At first I planned on this being another Displaced fic (my second one), but I'm still unsure on that decision. If you guys want I can show a few of you the story and give you access to the chapters. I'm looking for feedback of any kind. If you're interested send me a PM and I'll give you the links to the chapters I have done.
I do want to say now, however, that there is one thing I don't want said readers to do. I don't want you to thumbs up or down the story even if you like it. I want to keep it relatively clean so that the story appears fresh right from the start should I release it.

Well, don't say you didn't ask for it: Displaced fics already have bad reputation, but Naruto is even more horrible, so making a crossover of that is an invitation to getting yourself a reader base composed entirely of idiots and 13-year-olds. Anybody else would give it a look at put it on the garbage pile on the basis of that alone, sight unseen. You've been doing this better than most people, but there's a limit to what anyone can do to save a concept like that.

3566301 Oh, believe me, I know I'm fighting a losing battle more or less. However, the only reason I think I may have a chance at this is not because of experience, but due to the idea I have. You see, unlike most displaced fics or other I plan on taking a very drastic turn:

That may or may not be a good thing. I have read some pretty decent stories that have been set primarily not in Equestria, like Bad Mondays. What I'm more concerned about is the anime that will be prevalent in it. I have not made good experiences with either that or the people who enjoy it.

3567513 Not sure if it will be such high quality. A few individuals think that I have Gaara's personality wrong and I'm inclined to agree with them. I'll need to heavily rethink how I want this story to go before I even think about posting it.
