    It's been too long...

Hey there everyone, I know this is probably a surprise after my long, and sudden, hiatus.

So yeah... I'm still here, and I want to apologize for not updating the story in such a long time. I think I said it would only take a week to get out, right? And yet here we are nine months later and I got nothing to show for it.

    A Long Awaited Apology

    Hello my loyal readers!

I wanted to make this small blog to apologize for my tardiness regarding the next chapter of TAOAT. To put it bluntly I've been slowly digging a hole in my life and only recently did I finally get help and manage to drag myself back out. And even then, only about half way.

    A Formal Apology

To those of you who read the previous blog I posted in regards to the most recent chapter, I want to formally apologize for what I wrote. I was angry and frustrated with the way my story, and by extension myself, have been treated. I worded it in a way that put my readers in a negative light, and for that I regret what I have done.

No problem, while i admit i haven't been getting to reading stories (not just yours) as much as i would please or like. But keep strong partner, your good heart and its okay to feel stress over something you love to do.

Gentle breeze guide your path, a warm smile welcome you home.

You deleted it while I was typing my response, so I shall use the Valkyrie on it.

If you think I am going to pull a Rudolf you are sadly mistaken. I am in this for the long haul like the transporter class!

All I can do is try to rouse you into continuing on Bard style.

But seriously, I know a lot of people hate displaced stories for reasons, but this is definitely one of the top ones.

Thank you for understanding. It really does mean a lot to me.

3797997 no no! THANK YOU for writing.

To be fair...

The Concept of the Displaced is solid...

Too solid

Which is why the genre is filled with shitty writers...

But you're not one of them

And for this I thank you

3798031 And I thank you for giving my story a fair chance.

Well. Now I'm super-curious what the original post was. From reading some of the comments here, it sounds like the story was getting guff for being a displaced story. I can kinda-sorta get that, because I personally hate it when the staple of the stories - the crossovers with other stories - crop up. (I just think they're rarely done well, since most can basically be boiled down to a bunch of SIs/OCs faffing about and basically wanking both.) Doesn't hurt that a whole lot of the stories are never completed.

Actually, now that I think about it I've found the perfect crossover event: as an ending for a story! If dead stories had their protagonists killed it might really give a feel that something really happened while affording them the opportunity to be suitably awesome.

Also I totally like this story. It is fun.

3798093 People were attacking my story, but not simply because it's a Displaced fic. They were specifically targeting the crossovers I've done and have plan. Unlike most Displaced stories I actually make my crossovers matter. If someone chooses not to read every chapter I post... well, sucks for them because I guarantee that they'll miss something.

3798195 Ah. Well. Difference of opinion. I hate to say it, but I definitely tuned out this chapter, solely because I actually tried to get into Hooves of Ice but was hugely disappointed.

3798349 The next crossover is going to be with Gilgamesh. It's also one that you can't just simply 'tune out' because it's going to be a major plot turner.

3798365 ooooh, cool! Gilgamesh is fun. Looking forward to it!
