Equestria Girls ranking · 7:38pm Nov 17th, 2015

0/10 - AWFUL (unsalvageable, nothing to be gained from watching it, never should have been made, wouldn't recommend to anyone, completely butchers an important subject/teaches a horrible and downright toxic moral)
1/10 - HORRIBLE/BORING (tedious to sit through, hurts to watch it, a bore, no reason to watch it, whatever positive things about it are tiny and not enough to save it)
2/10 - VERY BAD (slightly less terrible, maybe it had that one character you liked or one/two jokes you laughed at that kept it from being a 1 but still very painful)
3/10 - BAD (the kind of bad where you're checking your watch over and over to see how much time is left before it finally finishes)
4/10 - MEDIOCRE (not awful but not really that good either)
5/10 - EH (average, didn't love it or hate it but you feel like you could've done something better with your time)
6/10 - DECENT (the first positive rating on this list, fine overall, you wouldn't watch it again but you are glad you saw it once)
7/10 - GOOD (enjoyable enough that you'd maybe watch it again in future, had some noteworthy flaws but is overall a worthwhile sit-through you'd recommend to someone)
8/10 - GREAT (a solid, enjoyable episode, very entertaining)
9/10 - EXCELLENT (very engaging, awesome, you really recommend it to anyone)
10/10 - MASTERPIECE (extremely engaging, teaches a valuable moral perfectly, definite must-see for anyone)

Equestria Girls MEDIOCRE

When this movie came out, the reactions to it were very split. Some saw it as entertaining and harmless, some saw it as good, some saw it as okay, and some saw it as awful and worthy enough to "burn in hell and pretend it never happened". As for me, yeah, I don't consider it a good movie but even with all its problems, plot holes and things that don't make any sense, I can't say I hate it. It's definitely not horrendous or unwatchable or "the worst thing to happen to the show". If you saw it and didn't like it, I'd say go watch it again. It's worth trying to see if you can find one or two things to like or appreciate. Just because it's bad doesn't mean there can't be some good things about it. And when a film as bad as this has this much money, love and effort put into it, it's worth acknowledging when that effort indeed pays off.

Plus, it's worth sitting through to get to the much better sequel.

I liked the first "Equestria Girls" film despite its flaws.

What about the other two movies?
I agree, this movie was only okay. It was fun, but the actual story itself was kinda 'eh'.
I can't help but feel like they are torn for which audience to angle to: the girls or us ?XD

3555357 I'll get to Rainbow Rocks after I finish my Season 4 ranking, and I'll do Friendship Games after Season 5 has ended.

The first film was alright in my books. Definitely had its flaws, but hey, the writers had such little to work with, so I don't blame them that much. Thankfully, they showed us how epic an Equestria Girls movie can be with Rainbow Rocks. Damn, that movie was good, and it made me actually care for Sunset Shimmer.

Someone who was willing to make a name for herself, show them all that she can change for the better and that she wasn't afraid to show them who she really was, that's what I love to see in characters. Equestria Girls made me tolerate her, Rainbow Rocks made me appreciate her, and Friendship Games made me love her.
