Is anyone annoyed by my use of actual German for Azur's occasional line of dialogue? I'm planning on having him teach Jade his translation spell. If it bugs people I can limit him to the occasional word in German and use "<...>" to designate something he said in German after everypony around understands the language.
Or if you like it, I'll leave it as is. It's actual German, and it is in context. There's even a story reason for him using it all the time (His spell is a bit crap. If you dont think about speaking another language, you speak your own.). Admittedly my German is VERY rusty, so if it translates weird in Google Translate and you cant piece it together let me know and I'l rewrite it. Haven't had to speak the language in a long time :P

Looks like people like it! Yay! I personally enjoy actually writing a bilingual character's languages. Good character trait.
If anyone wants a translation of any of his lines, Google Translate should work pretty well, but if it gives you gibberish, I'll be happy to translate myself in the comments.
It's not bad at all, others may have differing opinions though, but I like it. I am part-German (from my Great-Grandmother if I'm correct), but I barely if at all speak it, so I'm not fluent at all, but I believe I have the gist of what's being said.
It's fine in my opinion.
I like it, for me it as 'flavor' to the story. Like when you slip in a line of changling in your other story's, it adds charter context.

I'm hoping he'll take a page from Monty Python and start selling incorrect translation spells, and we'll have ponies saying "please fondle my buttocks" in Germane everywhere.
