The Warrior and the Intellect - Cancelled · 9:24am Oct 6th, 2015
After almost two years of hiatus, The Warrior and the Intellect is now cancelled. I'm sorry for all those who hoped to see what were my plans for the Master Chief and Cortana in the land of Equestria, but after long consideration I've decided that I will not write further chapters.
Looking at my notes for the story, I've realized the amount of flaws that the story has, not only due to the concept not very original and the amount of plot holes between the first few chapters and the ending, but also for falling often in cliches: for example, in the next chapter I was planning to send the Mane Six with Luna in the forest (obviously without guards), where they would have met the Spartan (how many times have we seen this scene? 
); not only that, but in hindsight I've realized that the plot itself wasn't as good as I thought when I began to write it (I guess it was to be expected, being it my first attempt to write a story). Anyway, I'm still happy to have written this story, it was a good way to learn from my mistakes and gain experience. If any of you have questions about the story, feel free to contact me by PM 
I can understand where you're coming from. Well, I'll admit, it's a bit sad to see this one go. It was the first story I ever offered to edit on this site. But ultimately it's your call and it does seem like the best course of action. Who knows though? Maybe all it needs is a fabulous rewrite

I'm a bit saddened too, it wasn't an easy decision considering that it was my first story, but trust me
fabulous is not exactly the word that I would use to describe the amount of work that the story would need to be rewritten.

For a first attempt, it was actually quite good. You shouldn't give up that easily.
Besides, 3446927 is right. I recommend making a Google/Word Doc and using it to map out Setpieces and key ideas first then build off of that.
Personally, I thought the story was going great! It wouldn't be in my favourites bookshelf if I didn't think it was a sexcellent story!

But honestly, aside for the lack of time and the flaws in the plot, another reason why I decided to cancel the story is because I've lost interest in it.
