To all my old followers and viewers, I come to you with a heavy heart to say that I'm completely moving on from Fimfiction and starting new somewhere else. The reason being that I simply moved on from the MLP community; I have not stopped writing, so those of you who enjoyed my work for what it is and would like to see what else I make can follow me at Royal Road.

    How long has it been?

I don't even recall the last time I dusted off this profile. It's been a while. I came on today after cleaning out my email to see if I was still getting notifications from this site. To see that they're still people who are reading my work is heartwarming.

    Progress Being Made! (Lazarus)

    It's happening! Slowly, but surely!

It's hard, having been away from MLP for so long. I have to refresh myself on all the show characters :twilightblush:

Finished Reading/Watching the Martian! · 3:50am Oct 2nd, 2015

What I coincidence, I finished reading the book today and went and saw the movie too!

My thoughts, the book was really in depth, funny, and emotional. However the ending was very anti-climatic and left me hanging.

The movie was quick (which was bad cause I feel a lot of people who haven't read the book would have trouble following certain things), sticks to the book really well until up the end (The endings were slightly different). The movie's ending was pretty good and the epilogue left me felling nice knowing that I got to see how everything turned out for all our characters.

One flaw though with the movie, no Neil deGrasse Tyson. We seen him in a promotional trailer/preview yet he wasn't in the actual movie, come on... at least give us a cameo... :fluttercry: Guess I'll have to wait for the special features on the disc hopefully he's in there.

Overall:

Book: 9/10

Movie: 8.3/10

On another note it did give me some interesting ideas for both Lazarus and the Last of My Kind in terms of science and characterization on someone being alone for long periods of time.

Thanks for not putting out spoilers. Seen too many blogs that don't use the spoiler tag on stuff in the blog when mentioning movies or books. Hoping to see the movie soon. Looked like it was going to be pretty good.
