I've been reading a lot of fics lately, and one thing about them bugs me to no end. Seems like an awfull lot of people refer to Twilights hair color as dark purple. Now it might just be my eyes but clearly the majority of her hair is blue with a purple and darker pink stripe. Come on people I cant be the only person who's bugged by this? I know for a fact I'm not color blind ( I've been tested for this as a job requirement ) Thats clearly a dark blue right?
Your eyes are not playing tricks on you, because her mane and tail are indeed dark blue. (Almost a dark navy/midnight blue, I would say, actually.)
And the only purple in either are those purple stripes in them that you mentioned in your blog.
One thing that bugs me (other than folks mistaking the proper color of her mane, and saying that it's purple) is the way that I see so many writers saying that her coat is also purple. It's not. (Her eyes and that stripe in her mane and tail, yes, but not her coat.)
If anything, her coat-color is a soft lavender. Not purple.
There's a difference in the two, folks.
3408585 I see what you're saying, and agree that those types of mistakes are annoying. However, I will not stop calling her "Purple Smart" because it's just too much fun!
Yeah, I hadn't really looked close enough to really notice, but that IS very clearly a dark blue. I'll have to remember that.

Dark blue, but when you glance over it with its streak of pink and purple mixed in there it looks to be purple. Then again most people just watch the show without looking at still images. I can see why they are confused...
