I'm not the type of person who watches or likes anime. I did watch Pokemon for a little and this other series called, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex when I was older. But nothing else other than that.

Ahh, well that explains why you didn't see the joke. In animes, lots of times when the character (usually a male) sees another in a swimsuit or underwear, they have explosive nosebleeds. Its a Japanese anime thing.
