  • EThe Legend of the Scorpion Queen
On the eve of the Day of Reaping, the start of the Equestrian Harvest, it is traditional that a legend be told over supper: the legend of how the traditions surrounding the Day of Reaping came to be. It is a story of love, ambition, and vengeance.

New Finalized version of "The Legend of the Scorpion Queen" · 3:20am Aug 28th, 2015

By way of addressing concerns that a few folks have had with Legend, today I've pushed out an updated version. Most of the changes are primarily cosmetic, including quite a few little grammatical things that I was glad to fix.

Here's hoping that things go even better for the new version of the story. From what I've heard, it's actually quite the reasonable read, and could do well with a little more exposure. We'll see what I can do about that.

In any event, thanks again for all of the support as I keep picking away at everything.

May Celestia's light shine forever,

Not really sure why you cut out the frame story, but apparently it worked. Congrats!:pinkiehappy:

I just didn't see the frame going anywhere. It was nice, certainly, and provided some context. But it ended rather abruptly. I put some thought into trying to find a satisfying ending for the external characters, and nothing ever came to mind. In the end, the story was more well-rounded without it.
