Hello all.
I spent some time today looking through the archive of my past blogs and marveling at how, once upon a time, I updated this thing somewhat regularly. (Also marveling at how foolish of a person I was ten years ago, but that's a story for another time.) Presently, I hold to the idea that I should only make a post here when there is something significant to say, but given the enthusiasm of the last post I thought it appropriate to provide an update on it.
At the moment, I am 89% of the way through editing and rewriting for the second draft of Act II. I have also obtained the services of a wonderful editor who has been working along behind me. They are at the moment 67% of the way through the story, and the required revisions have so far been quite light. All of which is to say that things are going well. I even have the cover art in hand now, which means that the barriers to final publication are crumbling away.
The start of September will be the four-year anniversary of my first committing words to the page on this project. I would love to be able to publish the first chapter by that point. As always I make no promises, but judging from our previous pace, I will say that meeting this goal seems reasonable.
With all of that said, I shall give you the first concrete detail of the story, its title. Act II will be entitled A Crown Divided.
If all goes to plan, expect the first chapter very soon indeed.

I have no idea why I was following you, but I'm glad I was because those stories you have in there look yummy.
