First, let's start with a laugh.
Okay. That's great. Now let's get sad.
I've really been struggling with my depression the last few weeks since Bronycon. I'm not going to come out and grandstand, but it's really sucked out a lot of the fun and passion that comes along with what I do for you guys. There were good days here or there, but I'd say these last two days have been my very best in terms of not being sad or in some sort of aching physical pain at all hours of the day. Part of it is work related. My work is talking about layoffs, and anyone/everyone is on the cutting board. I really don't want to lose my job. That with a whole lot of other added stresses just have made life a living hell to make work.
I haven't been posting much of this because I don't feel like this site is the correct place to dump all of my sad feelings to look for sympathy. I'm not here to ask for sympathy. I'm here to make silly stories about horses. And it's what I love to do.
So, I'm about 1000 words into Adopting Fluttershy 7. On some of my sad days, I began to write a few Lyler stories. Simple, light hearted. Something just to get my spirits up. Who knows, maybe I'll polish them up and throw them in the Lyler Archive.
Until then, just know I haven't abandoned you guys. AF is very alive and well. So is everything else. I think I should be able to get back into the writing zone this week.
Just know that I love seeing your comments and messages. I check this website every day, multiple times a day, and every time I see a favorite, comment or new follow, It makes me smile. I love seeing that my stories brighten people's days or make them think.
So, I'm sorry I haven't been posting much. I've just been dumping a lot of time into work, cause I don't want to lose my job. So, yeah. Sucks to be an adult and stuff. I miss the old pillow fort days. Not that I've stopped making them. I just spend the time inside worrying about what's outside it when I finally come out.
