I need a new editor · 6:57pm Aug 1st, 2012
Alright everyone I just wanted to bring your attention to one major thing that is stopping me from releasing more chapters for Then You Saw Her, my editor decided to leave. It was quite sudden and I'm still not entirely sure why he did it. He just dumped his Skype contacts for people that he never talks to, apparently I was one of them. I'm trying not to say anything bad about the guy but as you can imagine it left me kinda pissed.
Which is why I'm asking you guys to help me find a good editor. Now you should know ahead of time what this job entails. As my editor, I expect you to read, give criticism, and correct grammatical mistakes in a timely manner when I send a chapter off to you. This includes everything that I write, not just TYSH. Many times over Skype I will just send a link to Google Docs that has a new chapter without so much as a 'howdy-do.' This is just because I just finished something and I can't wait to release it. If you do want to talk about random shenanigans as well, that is perfectly fine. And if you want, you can also have me read things that you write. You need to have a really good grasp of grammar, which is something that I have a big problem with. Please if you feel up to it, put a comment down or send me a PM. If you have previous editing experience that is a plus.

I have great grammar, spelling, and etc, but I am usually occupied by either my own story, band, or just plain spacing out. I would usually love to help though, and your stories are great.
I would volunteer but I am currently writing almost a chapter a day for my story which is getting ready to hit 100 chapters. I look forward to seeing more chapters from you. I wish you luck on finding an editor my friend.

I definitely have a good grasp on grammar; however, I don't know if my criticism is any good. I've never been criticized on my criticism before. If something unexpected happens and you end up needing someone for only grammar, punctuation, etc., then I'll always be available, but otherwise, I'm afraid I'm no help. If worse comes to worse for you, I can always try, but I doubt it will as I see someone has already applied for the position. Also, I like your stories. In particular, that new Doctor Whooves series. It got me re-watching the Doctor Who movie from the 90's. I'd love to see how that develops.

Last time i tried to help someone with editing they found someone else. apparently there's such a thing as being overly grammatical, so i now stick to my own stuff.
Not exactly helpful in your predicament. but it helps me justificate my reasons for not offering myself up as a helper.
I generally don't mind doing pre-reads spontaneously; like if someone just posts a blog asking if anyone could take a look over a new chapter.
I don't think I'd be much good at editing on a regular 'Here's the document, now get to it' kind of thing.

I'm happy to do it, but I'm not available 24/7 because of school, and when I'm at my dad's place I haven't got internet (Only about 2 weekends out of three). I seem to have lapsed in creativity, and my friends who got stuck in Equestria for ages are kinda sick recently, so I have nothing to write.
In short, YES PLEASE!
I am quite available. I do tend to be quite picky about grammar when I read, I think that would make it easy to read it once for spelling and grammar and once for the story (at least once for story). I also have a lot of spare time, even once school starts, so I'd be able to edit/read and get back to you quickly. Let me know let me know if you're interested and haven't found anyone yet.
