Let's start with the good news! Chapter's done! I've been plugging away at it for the past week or so and I've managed to bang out the last half of chapter 8. It ran a bit longer than I thought it would, so I suppose my fears of it being too short were a little silly. Returning readers will notice that this is where things start to diverge from the original. It's not exactly radical, but there are pretty big signs in this chapter that things will be playing out quite a bit differently than they did the first time.
Now for the bad news. My editor's been MIA the majority of the time since he left for Nepal a few days ago. He managed to edit about half of the chapter before he flew out there, but I really need him to look it over before I'll even consider publishing it. I made that mistake the first time, and I won't make it again.
That said, keep an eye out! It shouldn't be long before I have the chapter up and ready to read!
