    Shin Godzilla

Well, it's been a while since I've done...well...anything on this site. Pony-fatigue is still running strong and my mind is catching up from several years of immersing myself in almost nothing but MLP (from a personal entertainment perspective). But now I'm back, fresh from the theater with a review of Shin Godzilla.
    ...
I'm sure I'll get back to pony eventually...

Movie Review: Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2

So, in between updates on the latest story, I've decided to review another movie, or rather, another pair of movies, both because I have a lot I've wanted to say about these two movies in particular (this being the only real outlet I have for that) and because some of my readers actually seem to like this. To wit, my review of Now You See Me 1 and 2.

    In Other News...TMNT Review

Well, in between editing and posting chapters for my latest story, I found time to see the new TMNT film in theaters and thought I'd give my opinion on it...for those who are actually interested in that sort of thing. So, here it is, my review for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

    Done!

(Collapses, gasping for breath) It's done...I've finished. The final story of the Savage Skies series is finally complete. Suffice to say, I had originally planned a rather brief kinda multi-chapter epilogue...that ballooned out into multiple story arcs, stretching out into a 173,000+ word monstrosity. It didn't help matters that my muse...

Latest Update! · 7:00am Aug 16th, 2015

Continuing my trend in posting updates long after I should I have some updates on how the Savage Skies series is progressing For the story itself, I should say that a great deal of progress is being made on that front as I am finally closing in on the climatic portions of the story itself and the series as a whole. As usual, I can't really give an estimated ETA, as I can almost never stick to it. This story ended up being a whole lot longer than I thought it would be, particularly since it's resolving so many of the conflicts that have been hanging around since the series started. I was tempted to break it into two, as there are two major arcs to the story, with some filler in between. However, I've decided to stick to my original plan and submit the whole thing as one story. It's gonna be the longest one yet, but I'm glad that I'll be able to once again bombard you with a slew of once-a-day updates when the whole thing is finished.

In other news, a few weeks back, I was the proud recipient of yet more fanart! This is some epic stuff here.

This first one comes from Galads-Blade over on Deviant Art. A pretty talented artist I'd say. Go over and take a gander if you have time.

Epic image of Arkenstone in full armor is epic. That's about all there is to say. It doesn't exactly correlate to a specific scene in my stories, as Arkenstone doesn't whip out his armor while he's fighting the changelings, as depicted in Shadow of the Sun. But it's really well done and really cool and that's all that matters.

The next set of images is a pair that comes from my more chronic fanartist, lonewolf342, who's really been on a roll lately. They feature Arkenstone in the aftermath of his "duel" with Steel Flint, also from Shadow of the Sun.

We should probably count ourselves lucky that the scope of the art wasn't expanded to include whatever was left of Steel Flint after Arkenstone was done with him.

So those are my major updates concerning the series. I wish I could have shared them earlier. But I was a little busy being wiped out by work. One of the issues with working two jobs is that sometimes, those separate schedules line up so that you don't get any days off. I worked a total of twenty-one days in a row without any days off in between. Even though my shifts at the ice cream shop were relatively short, that's still a hellish experience. That, and we were also smack in the middle of the peak season at both of my jobs, so we were absolutely swamped in both places. So...yeah...I'm pretty tired.

Luckily, I managed to arrange some time off so that I can take a short vacation. In about a week, I'm going up to Vernal, Utah for the space of four days to check out Dinosaur National Monument. I've been there before, but not since they closed the old visitor's center because it was on the verge of collapse (due to being built on top of a layer of clay) and haven't gotten the chance to go since it officially reopened, so I'm looking forward to it...

Though...given how tired I've been lately, I may be looking for someplace a little more relaxing. A friend of mine recommended that I check out a different place, someplace Reliable. Dependable.

Looks promising...
They apparently have a promo channel on youtube and it looks like a very inviting place...It might be just the thing I need to help me finish this project...

I can say wee the readers wish you the best of luck in your recovery from working 2 job's.
the art work is just super good I can say Arkenstone truly lives up to his nick name Knight of the dancing blades.

Now I would like to personally invite you moguera to a new TeamSpeak server that is up and running for everypony here on FamFiction.net, it is free and vary easy to get on if you or any other pony's would like to get on this TS check my blog for all the info.

Harts Fire

I must say I imagined Arken built a little stockier, but that's about it. Holy crap those are nice. That top one specially (despite any non-canon-ness)

Wait, you aren't seriously thinking of Clear Lakes, are you?

Canon-shmanon your universe cannot contain my muse.
But seriously I was gonna do the battle in ponyville but realised halfway through my background was crap.. a little Photoshop magic later and (insert aliens guy meme here) changelings! I was just hoping no one would notice :twilightblush:

My waiting finally paid off. Armoured Arkenstone, fuck yeah!

I'm going to be sad when the series is over. I hope we get at least one my story ... or two out of it XD. Seriously though, an amazing, utterly epic series. And yeah working two jobs sucks. I hope you at least had a good little vacation.

I was sooo looking for an illucidator in the pic with the swords.
For those of you who don't know what that means google sword art online, it's an awesome anime!

POnies are badass.

I am still disappointed Chrysalis could not find a more permanent place in your universe.

She could have made an epic redemption mini arc, especially considering the development of some of your characters.

And yeah, I'm a Chryssie fan. I hate it when she gets the short end of the stick. Good or evil, she is an intriguing character, depending on how well writers cast her.

Ah well. Can't have everything...
