I'm a writer of fluff, kibitzer, and especially interested in canon AU: Equestria Girls, the comics, etc. They are fun to play with.

    Follow-up on that stalker thing

He seems to have gone quiet for now. I'm assuming the admins managed to smack down all of those alts. I haven't seen any new material on Tumblr or DeviantArt, either.

Speaking of DeviantArt, here's the reply I got from them:

    Thanks for getting in touch!

A member of the DeviantArt staff has reviewed this situation, and we have taken appropriate steps to resolve the problem.

    Just so you know...

There's a person on here who has been creating alts and harassing me. I keep getting posts like "why have you stopped talking to me? Tell me what I did. I need closure." I'm also getting PMs along the order of "yo, why are you ignoring X? I thought you were friends."

    I lurk

I know some people have asked why I won’t say anything, etc., but the truth is that I lurk. I sign in to see something, usually to re-read Rage Reviews. There are some things I can’t see unless I’m a bonafide member over a certain age. And then I just don’t ever log out, but I’m not “here” and ignoring anyone on purpose.

Some people make themselves very, very unhappy

Haven't been around much, but then, you knew that. Busyness, health issues, and frankly a whole lot of depression. Even ponies weren't interesting me very much anymore. I had a ticket to go to EQLA and a party that same weekend, and I did not go to either.

    Hey guys guys guys

So, hi, you haven't probably seen much from me, and that is primarily because I have been sucked in again by my primary fandom, Harry Potter. Which isn't surprising, considering that I help run a convention and teach a course on it and am the school's club's faculty advisor and have given talks on it for, oh, over a decade.

So for me, for the last few months, it has been mostly about:

Good Morning, Beautiful got a very nice review! · 6:29pm Jul 27th, 2015

Here it is!

What I liked about the review is that it pointed out the ways in which the story could be better and/or did not work for the reviewer. And that's a good thing. It takes work for a reviewer to do that, and it's very valuable input I can use later (not that I don't love uncritical praise. Please feel free to keep going with that!)

The other good thing about reviews is that it means someone read your story, OMG, and had thoughts about it. On a site this large, it's a big thing to have a story noticed and read. I had some thoughts about reviews of official, published work that might apply to FiMFiction too, but that's a separate blog post for another day.

I do tend to do these stories one at a time, instead of thinking of them as a huge multi-chapter work. I don't know when I'll get chances to work on them, and I need for any of my stories to have a clean, clear structure, with some sort of end in sight. Having things be open-ended--that hasn't been my dish, although I do have one in mind that will be episodic and unplanned. I promised myself that I wasn't going to do a novel-length thing like Looking Glass World again in a hurry.

Anyway, thanks so much to the reviewer!

Paul read of my stories once and it got a "Worth It" rating. You are officially a better author than I am. :twistnerd:

3273861 Nah. I've got stories I'd consider "not exactly worth it." But "Pretty Good" is pretty good, and I feel good about it.

Considering that we have each gotten a single story reviewed by Paul, and your story ranked higher than mine, I admit that I am not as competent an author as you are. :raritywink: I'm way more humble than you are!
