I don't have a whole lot of time, since I still have schoolwork to do and a research paper to research, but I just thought I'd make a post celebrating two years of being on the site.
It's been quite a wild ride. I have to say, I'm quite different from who I was last time I made an anniversary blog, let alone from when I joined the site. Twenty-two stories later, I'd like to think I'm a much better writer than when I started, although I realize I still have a long way to go. I'm definitely much more noticed as a writer, since my follower count has nearly quintupled over the past year. And while I don't churn out two thousand words in a sitting like I did when I started, I'm getting back to being consistently productive like I was before. The difference is that this time, those two thousand words are of a higher quality than before.'
I do have quite a few people to thank for this. First off, I'd like to thank Zom for being my go-to guy to bounce ideas off of and to just talk to sometimes. I'd also like to thank Flint Sparks and ElectreXcessive for serving basically the same role in the past, even though I've been a butt and more or less ignored them. Blame it on time zones and general busy-ness. Minds Eye and Noble Thought have offered me idea help as well, including on a particular project I may never get around to because I want it to be perfect. Timaeus and Meridian Prime have helped pre-read a few of my stories. Zodiacspear has been the Trixie fan. Every group of friends needs one of those. Oh, and I guess he helped with my stories or something... (:P) Jack (because we refer to him by username so rarely that it feels weird to call him that) has also read over stories and offered help. Foals Errand has been a good friend, too. MDNGHTRDHTLN has been keeping the Monthly Contest Club up and running for me, which I am very grateful for.
I've probably missed a few people, but if I have, it is not out of spite. I just had some distractions pop up while I wrote this, and I'm in a bit of a time crunch before work, so I may have forgotten a few thank-yous. Just poke me, and I'll be sure to add you to the list.
And one final, big thank-you to all of you. Thank you so much for all your support. It blows my mind that a few hundred people decided to follow my silly little fan fictions, and that I have had thousands upon thousands of people read my work. It's something that crossed my mind and everything, but I never actually expected it to happen. So thank you again.
Here's to one more year of ponying on!
