Since I've been getting so many new people watching me so quickly, I thought I really should add some content to my bio page. I'm going to need your help to find out what people want to know about me; so on this blog post, feel free to ask me anything! What is your usual writing process? Do you first write down where the story will lead to and then just strart writing chapter by chapter or is it all way more coördinated then we might think?

Writing inspirations? I love old time radio comedies. Shows like Duffy's Tavern, Fibber McGee and Molly, The Fred Allen Show and The Jack Benny Show are all great. Many of these shows can be listened to for free on sites such as dumb.com and otr.net.
If you want to see where most of my humor comes from, check out these classic masters of comedy; especially Duffy's Tavern and The Jack Benny Show. I listened to them all the time growing up. I'll turn 113-years-old next year, making me the world's oldest living brony.

I tend to break it up by chapters. Sometimes I start with an ending in mind. For example, when I started writing Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs, I knew they were going to get fired after a parody of the I Love Lucy chocolate factory scene (In retrospect, maybe I should have seen that preemptively forced Mature-rating coming.)
Other aspects of my stories aren't planned out ahead of time, but are born from the process of writing. For example, the protestors were not in my original drafts of the story. They barged into my thought process as I was writing, so I gave them three chapters to play with. Originally Coldheart was just going to reprimand Lyra and Bon Bon and that would've been the end of it. The inclusion of the protestors allowed me to touch on more sensitive topics that wouldn't have been possible otherwise.
The bottom line is, I don't think you need to have everything figured out to start writing. Sometimes all you have is an ending in mind and the struggle is figuring out how you get there, like in L&BBOJ. With other stories I've written, like Taming of the Screw, it starts with the premise and I write the first chapter, having no idea where the story will go from there.
As for notes, some writers like to have detailed notes. I'm more a stream of conciseness type of writer. For example, I've included below my notes for Berry Pinch's epilogue scene:
Epilouge.
Berry Pinch Pokey Pierce Berry Punch.
searches through the records. Berry Punch. Punch Pinch and Pierce Violent names, but Berry was sure they'd make the nicest family.
No photo. Walked out in the hall. "Thanks for stopping in Pokey, we always appreciate your business."
Found out Pokey worked in child care services. He's great with foals! He works with them! I'm sure he'll love me and mom!
Pinchy saw her biological father for the first time. Strong unicorn. She didn't call out to him right away. Stared. So happy. "Ready to go, Caramel?"
A honey-colored stallion trotted up, kissed Pokey on the lips.Held the kiss for a moment. Berry Suddenly realized her future holiday dinners with family would be very unique.
Those are all the notes I had going in to write Berry Pinch's portion of the epilogue. I just write down the feeling I want to convey or some sentences I want to make sure are included in some fashion. I hope this gives you an idea of how I approach writing.

I am intrigued by potential Octavia stories though.... I understand she may play a larger role opposite a fabulous unicorn in season 3.
Maybe I'll have to watch that episode and see where things go from there...
Writing a Vinyl Scratch story isn't completely out of the question, but I find Octavia far more interesting.

I've been a brony since June 2011, but I didn't start an account on FIMfiction.net until I reached my one year mark in the fandom. Before then I never imagined I would ever write fanfiction.
I started writing because I had ideas in my head for stories, but no one else was writing them, probably because most people are too decent to write such filth. As soon as I saw Rarity's parents for the first time, I thought to myself, "Aw yeah. I can't wait to see a story where Rarity and Twilight Sparkle's parents have a swingers party with Mr. and Mrs. Cake!"
I waited and waited, but no one ever wrote it. "The parents need some love, too!" I thought. Eventually, I knew that if this story was going to be written, then I would have to write it.
You may have noticed that I have a soft spot for the underdeveloped characters in the fandom. While others write about the mane six, I write stories about Twilight and Rarity's parents, the Cakes, Prince Blueblood, Screw Loose and Screwball! As time has gone on, I've dabbled with more popular ponies, but my favorites will always be the undervalued background characters.

I was reading your "Taming of the Screw" the other day and chanced by the comments section.
At some point you mentioned that you had gotten out to do some research on how rape victims respond at different stages of their life to the trauma, so I was wondering exactly how much outside work goes into your stories? For the most part I always just sort of assumed that you liked to challenge yourself as a writer and that's why you have such a wide plethora of subjects as story ideas (Odd Jobs is pretty sweet and somewhat philosophical, 120 days of Blueblood is friggin' dark and frankly nihilistic, and TotS is... interesting) so I have to ask,
Do you tend to write on subjects that merely pique your interest? Do they actually represent some of your irl fetishes, or are you merely trying to write outside of your comfort zone? How much research goes into writing? Do you consider requests?
By the way, totally not doing a silly readthrough of Pin the Tail on the Griffon.

I do want to work on my long-running stories like Adventures of a Teenage Foalsitter, Taming of the Screw and 120 Days of Blueblood, but I feel that you also need to give the people what they want. A majority of my readers found me through reading Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs, so of course its popularity entitles it to a sequel. I need to be in the right mood to write certain stories, and right now I'm motivated to continue Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs II: Frisky Fillies.

I start writing and do research as I go. I like my stories to be as accurate as possible. This has led to some bizarre Google searches.

As far as requests go, if I think it's a good premise, I'll run with it; but creatively-speaking, I have a lot on my plate at the moment already; but if anyone has any ideas for a story that they think I should write, or want to write it themselves, just private message me. I will say, having listened to several different people attempting to read funny fanfics, I'll always preferred the ones who can keep a straight face, as opposed to those who crack up laughing with every other line. I suppose it's a testament to the writer. I guess as the writer, it would be a nice ego boost to know a reader can't make it through the story without laughing; but as a general rule, when telling a joke or reading a humorous story, the humor shines out more clearly against the backdrop of a somber presentation.
Well, that's my two cents for all you aspiring fanfic readers out there! Atylonisus, you're doing great work! Keep it up!
