Today's episode. Amending Fences.
First I would like to say that I absolutely adored today's episode. I mean, besides the Starlight Glimmer cameo at dinner and the unfortunate implications of that (likely for the season finale), everything was just so solid. Moondancer especially was one heck of a foil to Twilight. The supporting characters were great too.
And that continuity. I literally had to stop watching and get my act together when they reused clips from episode one of the series (and in doing research for the setting of this story I've had to see that clip multiple times before this). I loved it.
In terms of the story, two key things sprang to mind:
- The tower has not been used since Twilight left and as of the end of the episode Moondancer may have access to it.
- The tower is not connected to the castle proper but in all likelihood is still located on castle grounds. I have no proof of this though.
The second one is easy enough to resolve. The former requires the notion that Twilight still has access to the tower despite giving Moondancer a key. Which I don't think is farfetched in the slightest; it's like giving away spare keys.
Rest assured both items are now accounted for in my drafts.
