Work on the first chapter of the new Petriculture story is proceeding smoothly. I'm approximately two-thirds of the way done with it, assuming that there's no need for a major revision (so far, my prereaders don't seem to think so). In fact, it's going so much more smoothly than the novel that I'm seriously wondering whether I was, in fact, ready to write that particular story.
In any case, thanks to my Patreon patrons for providing the financial incentive to keep at it.
I'm a bit out of the loop - is it a sequel or a rewrite you're working on? Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

3136928 - Well, I don't know if it's still applicable. To my mind, those five stories still form a complete narrative (albeit one with an open-ended conclusion), which is what I think of when I hear the phrase "story cycle." Whether this new story turns out to be a one-off sequel or the start of something more remains to be seen.
