So recently I played and completed both games in the Hotline Miami series. The experience left a deep impression in me, and I just couldn't get it out of my head without turning it into an idea for horse words. And since there's apparently no proper pony crossover with the game on FimFic, it seemed like a good opportunity to "break new ground", as it were.
While my primary focus among my projects here is still Wires, if my mood ever ends up as such, I may just kick back and get some good old "head-bashing action" in. Of course, the fic is going to be about way more than just mindless, gratuitous violence. There is a story, it's not just a carbon-copy of the source material, and every relevant character has a legitimate reason to be where they are. At the same time, however, the game's strong point was always the vibe and not the plot, so the priority in the fic will be similar. If you really want to, you may uncover some odd conspiracy about "changelings" and "organized crime" and whatever, but at the heart of it all, it's just Ditzy Doo putting on masks and stomping on skulls to synthwave music.
That said, without further ado:
"Dear Ditzy,
Sorry I haven't written to you in a while. I know you haven't been at peace since you moved out. How's the kid? Is Carol City treating you alright?
Moving there might have been a mistake. I doubt you can get much work there nowadays. But don't worry, I found something perfect for you. There's a nice place over at Starling Avenue 45th, waiting for a delivery. You'll need to wear something discreet. It's in the package I included with this letter.
Hope you have a great time!
Hugs and kisses,

Yup, another collab with my good friend JLB. Please give him some love while you're there.
Have some music too:
