Octavia doesn't quite believe in coincidences, so when she first meets the DJ known as Vinyl Scratch and notices the uncanny resemblance between her and the famous violinist Melodia Allegrezza, she is determined to find out what the connection is.

    Pretence Hiatus

    Hello folks.

You've probably noticed that there haven't been any new chapters for a while. I'd like to say I have some sort of reason for it like life-altering things or other somesuch, but the truth is that my drive to write has reached an all time low. At least for this story.

    Someone in need of help

    Hey guys.

This isn't a Pretence update, you can find a box of that on my profile. This is about someone I know who's in a pinch and needs a bit of help. Long story short, health problems that has morphed into financial struggles.
I don't ask any of you to go and donate directly, simply share if you can, and donate if you want. Below is a link to his blog explaining it in more detail.

A random thought I just had, what would your ideal video game be? By this I of course mean what kind of game would you want, and play the everliving :flutteryay: out of? Personally I would (really) like a dynamic, full-dive Virtual Reality MMORPG with a Full Action combat system (like in TERA) where you can create whatever magic you want, or even fight without if you so desire--You could play a Geomancer that fights like an Earth Bender, a teleporting Swordsman, or a million other possibilities. If players did something that was big enough that it would change the world, then the world would change. Basically, whatever you wanna be you create it as you play.

And now, for the News.

Updates both as to what I've been doing, and Pretence, have been severely lacking as of late. I apologise for that, but there is a reason. The entire time since I came back from India back in February has been... hectic, to say the least. I've had assignment on top of assignment on top of assignment almost constantly, and I haven't felt like I had the time or, if I had, the energy to write much of anything. I have the first page or so of chapter 7, but that's about it.

That being said, the assignments have started to settle down, with only one more to go. However... You guessed it. Exams. Next thursday will be my first exam, and then I will have another one mid June. After that it will be summer break, and I should have all the time in the world to write. If I do it is another story. Getting myself back in gear for what is almost half a year hiatus would only two chapters released in that time. I will try, though, and if luck has it you should see at least 3 chapters released from mid june to early august. Possibly more.

Well... With that out of the way, I will say that I would very much like to see what you guys would want in your ideal video game, as well as: Look forward 'till next month. I will try to have a chapter out there. Maybe I can get one out in May, but I won't make any promises.

Until then!

Hm. I've heard TERA is really good. Haven't had the time to go and download it though.

Basically, something along the lines of Mass Effect 2 in terms of content (high-level military space opera, only with more of a "ragtag band of misfits" vibe to it) combined with the open-world depth, complexity, and quality writing of something like Fallout: New Vegas.

It'd be especially neat if you could pick between species with distinctly different playstyles.

Also, holy shit, you were in India? What was that like?

Not fun <.< Lived with a 30 year old manchild who had the "if you don't agree with me then you're wrong" mentality, as well as "I am better than you at everything."

Add that to the fact that there was absolutely no coordination in the school we were at, leading to massive confusion almost constantly. It... wasn't really all that great of an experience. But it was an experience nonetheless.
