The Wandering Bard

"I am a singer, a poet, a musician, a storyteller. I am a bard at heart. That is who I am. That is what I shall always be." (Icon by atokota on FurAffinity)

    Some OC Questions

Hey, all! This is a meme by gilgamemesh I've seen around Tumblr, and since I haven't gotten any asks about it there, I thought I'd post it here! Here's how it works: pick a number or multiple numbers from the list, post it/them in the comments, and in about a week or so (depending on how many asks I get), I'll post a follow-up blog about it! And if two people ask about the same number, that's

To all of you who have read my latest story, Just What I'm Dying For..., or to those who soon will, you may have noticed that the story is marked as "Incomplete". Why is this, you may ask? Well the simple answer is that there is more to tell. Pan Handle's side of the story is complete, and I have just written up Lyric's. Now to spend the next few days editing and revising, and taunting you with the knowledge that more is coming. :moustache: But for those of you who cannot wait, here is a little tidbit of what is to come...

It was then that Grayscale fell, sustaining injuries from an arrow fired across the tomb by one of the undead. Without thinking, Lyric dropped her lute and rushed to his side. She dug into his bags and pulled out a healing tonic, then tilted his head up and carefully poured it down his throat. He coughed and sputtered, his eyes fluttering open. It was not enough to fully mend his injuries, but he was revived. With a look of abject terror as he looked to a casket shaking in the corner of the tomb, Grayscale fled.

Lyric did not blame him. He was seriously hurt, and the tomb might have become his resting place as well if he did not do otherwise. Besides, she knew that look he had given. She felt that way, too.

With a shaking hoof, Lyric reached for her lute once more. She then felt a burst of pain as an arrow struck her shoulder. She cried out, clutching at it, dropping her lute in the process. Pan heard her cry and spun to see what had happened.

"Lyric!" he shouted, and then another arrow found its mark. There was an explosion of agony in her chest. She was losing focus, but she thought that she saw Pan fighting his way towards her. Then she felt nothing, and she was falling... falling...

Now, how long to make you wait for the whole thing? A week? Yes, yes, I think a week sounds good... :ajsmug:

Also, Lyric's one-shot maaaay have turned me into a HaLyric (HaloxLyric) shipper. Just maybe. :rainbowderp:

Oh, don't worry. The main bulk of the thing is written out. I just have to revise a couple of scenes because I kind of rushed them out and wrote them way after I should have gone to sleep. :derpytongue2: But I'm excited to revise and put out a truly polished piece of work. I hope you enjoy it. So please keep those Russians at bay... please? :twilightoops:

You have just made my day!

:rainbowlaugh: Indeed! Though from what I hear, somepony in the campaign accidentally set an entire town on fire after Lyric left, killing two campaign ponies and injuring others, so...

Yep, that was one of our other players who thought "hmm maybe this black viscous stuff that monster makes is flammable?" and testing his theory on a large puddle of it...inside an old wooden house XD

Well, let's see what our favorite bard in Equestria has in store for us in her upcoming tale!:moustache:

Tombs! Arrows! Adventure! Shipping! Excitement!:pinkiehappy:

Yes! I'm doing my best to revise Lyric's side of things, and I'm really proud of how it's turning out. I hope you enjoy it as well!

3054377 I'm certain that I will enjoy it! Your tales have all been good so far! No need to think less of this one!:rainbowdetermined2:

Thank you very much for your kind words and encouragement, Lazydrill. It truly means a lot.
