The Seven Chocolate Cake was loosely inspired by this:
There are some differences so I'll describe each layer below:
The base comprises of three layers, one of dark chocolate at the base, mixed with crushed Oreos, the middle sandwich is a rich hazelnut cream and the top layer is composed of a Dacquoise of almond and hazelnut but interspersed with white chocolate shavings. The top layer is composed of four layers, the lighter counterpart to the decadent base. A caramel, vanilla and chocolate ganache composes the bottom layer, while a white chocolate cake base sandwiched between praline discs and fine creamy white chocolate filler is topped off with a fine chocolate disc on top. On the outside, a chocolate frosting is applied, the base made from mainly 50% sugared milk chocolate so as not to be overpowering but covered in a fine shaving of rich cocoa chocolate to balance the sweet inside. The finish is a wafer stick tastefully arranged on the top disc or on the side, to be enjoyed with milk, coffee or other beverage of choice. The cake is best taken in small, very select bites, as the resulting flavour may be overpowering without proper preparation of the consumer.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that for extra credit you can create a melted chocolate centre, that collapses the top disc and gives a liquid pool of chocolatey goodness.
Bear in mind, I haven't tested the recipe yet. If you want to give it a go, there's no 'right' way to make it, if any part seem impractical then skip it. The main part of the seven chocolate cake is to have seven layers, once you achieve that, you can go to town on anything else.
As always, my sweet-toothed readers, thanks for reading!
That cake looks so omnomlicious (and so likely to give somepony a horrible tummy ache if they ate it too fast and too much). Really tempted to try it.
3016845 You should! It's amazing.
I am a pretty great baker and former pastry chef. I can handle this.

Be careful. Pinkie thought that she could handle the Souffle...
Also, I'd try this myself if not for two reasons: Diabetes, and a lack of ingredients. It does, however, sound impossibly delicious and heart-rendingly unhealthy.

I made a quad layer choco cake with different types of chocolate filling per layer. Dark, Milk, White. and surrounded in a peanut butter chocolate shell.
It was the most epic cake I've made and it was super bad for you. The office made it disappear in one day.
