Draconequus of Notre Mare Revision. · 12:08am Apr 19th, 2015
Hey everypony. Listen, for you guys and girls who have been following me and my story The Draconequus of Notre Mare, you've probably noticed the irregularity in chapter production. Well... I've been looking over it and... I don't think it's turning out as I had originally intended. I feel as if its really rough and not as fleshed out as I had wanted. I feel that I may have to go back and revise it.
Now let me tell you a little story.
Before I had even begun to write "Notre", I had become enthralled in the audio drama Bride of Discord by one of my favorite fimfic writers Disneyfanatic23, and I had been reading what is now one of my favorite fanworks, The Opera Phantom Discord, for those who haven't encountered either of those pieces, do check them out their amazing. But anyway when had conceived "Notre", I had intended it to be more of along the lines of The Opera Phantom Discord, but looking over my work, I keep coming across plot holes and little mistakes, and I think that the story is starting to drift away from what I had originally imagined.
The biggest issue I think is that each chapter I've written, I've kind of winged it throughout my writing, and that's resulted in what I can only describe as a rough draft that needs editing and expansion. Also, I feel as if I'm not writing certain characters correctly. The primary example being Chrysalis. I feel as if I'm writing her as bipolar and that's not what I had wanted.
So, to get down to the point, what i'm going to be doing now is pretty much revising the story. And once it's fully rounded out, then i'll release it for your reading pleasure. In the meantime I will be giving updates on my much smaller piece Sweeter than Honey for you to enjoy. It's just, "Notre" is the largest project I've ever talked thus far. It's the first fanwork and long running story I've tried my claw at, and what I've learned from it is that it's a really big task you cant casually wing.
So anyway, I don't know how you guys and gals are going to react to this, but please support me in this endeavor, I just want to give you the best quality writing that I can.
I love you all.

I know both pieces.
Seems like a plan
I'm sure that whatever revisions you make, it will be for the good of the story and it will make your awesome fanfic even better It sounds like you really care about your story, and that you're letting the characters tell the story which is the key to good writing. I'll be here where the revisions are up, good luck!
Also, YAY Bride of Discord!
