Got to watch the first two episodes today, and I gotta say I really liked! Definitely one of the best episodes in the series. (though I usually say that for all the ones with an actual villain) Starlight Glimmer is an interesting character, and I also like the fact that she got away, which means we will see her again. We might FINALLY have a recurring antagonist!
Another reason I like Starlight and her village is the opportunity this provides me with concerning EWM. She wants to spread a message of conformity and equality all across Equestria to suit her vision, and she's basically the head of a cult. Guess which enterprising God of Evil will decide to take an interest in her and her village? Looks like we'll be seeing Disciple!Glimmer in the future!
...now that I think about it, don't Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer sound similar? I wonder if that was intentional...
On one final note, Episode 11 is underway and about halfway done. Should be up within the next few days.

Actually, you have a Time of day reference there..
Sunset is also called Twilight, and is the time when Starlight can be seen.
So you have: Sunset Shimmer, The Old Disciple of Celestia, Starlight, (Possibly?) Disciple of Luna, and you have Twilight, who has Learned from both of them and became a princess while the other two became minor villians (Im comparison to NMM, Discord, and Tirek who were ETCHED into time.)
