MUST READ! Always There Completed! What's Next? · 9:05pm Mar 24th, 2015
I never thoght that I'd be posting this up so soon, but I did it. I finally completed Always There! I've gotta say, it's been one heck of a journey, and I loved every second of it. About a year and a hlaf ago, I posted this story with an idea of a simple story... But this story has evolved into what it is today thanks to all of you, and for that, you have my gratitude and thanks!
Now... what's next? There's going to be a sequel of course!
In the last chapter of Always There, I've left a few hints here and there that'll make you wonder, "Who is Aden Sky exactly?"
Well here are some of those hints that I was talking about.
1. With the doors finally closed, Angel started to walk back into the empty hallways of the hospital.
"Your son has grown so much, hasn't he, Celia?
2. "I'm so proud of you, Aden…"
The strange, feminine voice said to him. This time he knew that some pony had just spoke to him. But the more that he thought about it, he felt strange warmth in his chest. The voice sounded so soothing, so gentle, so... familiar. He held a hoof up to his chest and smiled.
3. Somewhere far away from Ponyville, a mare standing on top of a rock looked down to the necklace that was in her hoof. It was a simple chain necklace with a locket embedded with a diamond, and the initials A.S. engraved onto the backside of it. The mare opened the locket, and on the inside was a picture of two ponies standing next to each other. One looked like a colt, and the other a filly. She sighed and held it close to her.
"I've already come this far, and he shouldn't have noticed that I've left yet…" She said to herself.
The mare looked to the colt in the picture again. "If he says that you're here… That you've finally come back… I've gotta see you again. After all, I still need to return your necklace, right, Aden?"

These hints are suggesting at something, but what does it mean? I'll leave it up to your imagination...
Oh, and remember this?
"Why?" Lucent questioned. "There''s no friggin way that I'd want to miss this, this is like, a momentous occasion!" He threw his hooves in the air for effect.
Twilight stood by him, giving Aden a Rainbow a sincere, genuine smile. "We're all glad that you two finally got together, really. You know, I can still kinda feel that love in the air, what about you, Lucent?" She said, moving a bit closer and leaning towards his side slightly, smiling sweetly at him all the while. There was a tiny blush on her cheeks too.
Aden and Rainbow looked to each other in confusion. Just what was happening?
"Huh? What was that? I wasn't listening…" He deadpanned. It was like he had just come back from spacing out.
Twilight's face filled with shock before she scowled at him, her blush intensifying though her frustration. "Y-you… You're such a dunce! Ugh, you can't even take a hint!" She yelled as she began trotting away.
"Wait, what did I do? Whatever I did, I'm innocent, don't be mad!" Lucent said chasing after her.
Everyone else broke into laughter at the sight. Applejack was laughing so hard that she almost started to shed tears.
Then, Ruby spoke up. "That's my brother, all right! Twilight will just have to get used to it."

Lucent and Twilight are totally a thing, and I will get around to that. When? It'll probably be a subplot in the sequel, but it might not and I might make it into its own side story.
So with all of that said and done... Tell me what you think of the story, and deforest tell me what you think about those three hints that I have you. Also tell me if you want a Lucent x Twilight subplot in the sequel or if you want them to be the focus in their own, individual story.

A Lucent x Twilight subplot in the sequel
Or
An individual side story that focuses on Lucent x Twilight.

2909145 Actually...I'm not too sure about that. Each would have their own strengths and weaknesses...
The subplot could keep the actual plot with Aden and Rainbow in the same story, but it could interrupt whatever they're doing.
On the other hand, a new story would allow me the plot to have more detail, but it wouldn't receive too much attention.
Unless...you treat it like it's very own separate story. I mean, practically at the level of Aden and Rainbow's story.
2910386 There is going to be a time-lapse of a year and a half before the events of the sequel take place and was thinking if I should make Lucent and Twilight's little story as the story in between. It'll almost be like "Always There: The Semi-Sequel or 1 1/2".
Should I go with that?
