Crescent Sun and other stories · 4:20pm Mar 20th, 2015
This morning there was a solar eclipse visible across Northern Europe, which happens to be where I live.
I didn't know this was going to happen until I woke up this morning and saw it being discussed online. But even though my town today was completely clouded and rainy and gray, while I was out heading down to the university, for just a few minutes and at just the right time the clouds thinned just enough to see the silhouette of the sun clearly through the clouds: a sharp white crescent against a grey sky.
It is a strange coincidence that this exact phenomenon should happen on this exact date.
Today it is one year since I last updated the story of young Star Swirl, The Crown of Night. It is a story where the heavens themselves try to speak to those few who might be able to hear them, in a world where a little star and moon wander the earth in search of answers.
One year ago today Princess Luna gave young Star Swirl a mission to go to a far-off land.
Clearly the heavens are telling me that this is an adventure long overdue. Well then, we will have to do something about that won't we?
Come with me now to a land of ancient legend.
In other news...
It may look like it but I have not been sitting idly by in the past few months. I've been working on a new story, one I've mentioned a few times before. It is now quite close to being finished, and then me and Princess Cadance will have something very different, and very special, to show you all. I think it is going to blow your minds.
Finally, I proof-read Naughty_Ranko's entry to the Everfree NorthWest writing contest: Daring Do & The Rookie Editor. Go take a look!
Yay! Update! And Solar Eclipse! Me and my friends thought we were gonna miss it but an other science teacher discovered that you could see it through one window in the storage room for Science material so we got to go there to see it.

Yep, really nice. My teacher was happy too, because he wanted to see it as well.
