Half a Thousand Followers and Non-Horse Words! · 6:06pm Mar 16th, 2015
500 followers, yaaay!
... And now my enthusiasm is gone. My poor mood aside, thank you all for the follows. And for the 80 of you who will actually read this post, I have a pleasant surprise for you.
This semester, I took a class in fictional writing. It's mostly just a workshop where we review each others short stories. I spent the better half of February trying to write mine, which resulted in little horsewords, but I made quite a few strides in conceptualizing my original fiction.
So, I present to you a rough draft of what I'm working on. Some details have been cut out because my 'short' story was already 20 pages long.
The Knight, the Witch and the Stranger.
Well, that's pretty much it. Can't wait for Season 5 to start so I can make follow-ups again. Pointless jokes and stupid references no one else will get! Should be fun!
awesome
Congratulations!
I wish you the best of luck on all of your future writing projects.
I get what you're saying, but I'm convinced the view numbers on blogs are horribly inaccurate. I don't think a view is added when a person looks at the blog from their feed and doesn't actually click the link. And I imagine that sort of viewing is the way the vast majority of people read blogs, which lead to blogs with pretty low viewcounts.
Also, about how many chapters to go until SoT finishes? When I went to go read a couple things I missed while contest judging, I noticed that one of the chapters said the story was entering its final arc. I'm wondering if it might be better to just wait until it's finished to read it all then.
2882766 3 plus the epilogue. The last chapter just ended on a cliffhanger, so I'll leave that up to you.

You're the worst.

I'm impressed you kept that consistent. I would have just written gibberish.
And yes. I'm horrible.

I have my ways (and I also had a very specific sound in mind).
Well then, I'll just claim my place amongst those eighty who actually read it. And get my ability to comment back again
Ah, so that's why you killed Sunset
FIrst, this premise is too awesome to be wasted on just the one short story. Give me a series of short stories or a novel, but I demand to know what happens next.
It reminded me a little bit of anime, although I can't really say why unless it was Annabell's sense of 'waifu-chan'-ness (not a criticism by the way, she was quite adorable). The setting was very intriguing and I seriously wouldn't mind spending more time there.
If you are still editing...I thought Anti-Arcane Squad was a bit too modern sounding for the setting. But, your story, your rules.
Other than that though, I thought it was great. I'm sure your name will turn up in bookshops in no time.
2889361 It is indeed just a small fragment of the story I'm trying to build. (There's a much deeper reason behind the anarchists want to change the world.)
And Anti-Arcane Squad was a placeholder until I came up with something better. I guess I forgot to go back and edit that. -shrugs-
Winning.

Yay! Are you planning to do a series of shorts or a single longform story (novel or series), if you don't mind me asking?
2891957 My current plan is actually thee novel trilogies: one that describes the events that led up to the release of the demons, one that focuses on the protagonists I introduced here, and one more that takes place fa in the past.
Okay. Well, good luck, and when you get the first book out be sure to let me know because it sounds as though it'll be something.
